As an older abstract artist, thank you for showing.

I chuckled at the curator's attempt to describe Hoffman's "Push Pull" concept. "Magnetic forces that somehow repel each other". Hoffman was demonstrating how the juxtaposition of wam and cool colors can float on top of one another on a two dimensional picture plane creating the illusion of depth. He was putting color theory to practice , That is what makes Hoffman's work so compelling to me more than any other abstract painter.

I'm an abstract artist and find his art really inspirational His paintings are extremely varied and beautiful. instead of all the ugliness that the modern art world seems to accept that mean nothing to me and do not communicate. This man directly communicates on a LOT of different levels if you can see it.

Your comment at calling other peoples art ugly shows you’re immaturity and the fact you’re not an artist. To even proclaim ur an artist and then derogatory towards others is not acceptable. Don’t call yourself a chef if you can’t cook.

I liked that one particularly too. I wish i could see it in real life. If you ever see any of these thing in real life they really knock you out, a video or picture does them no justice.

All the catchphrases of the pseudo intellectual flatulence describing anything other than art . Works given value by those who know and understand the least , conspiring with the corrupted world of galleries and investment shills pandering to the needs of the vain collector's ego.

What's the matter? Yes the "art world" is dreadful. Always gas been. But artists are both born and made through being able to learn from each other, by association, by great teachers, by being able to see art. Where can we go to see art? How does the art get there? We have to take the bad in the art world with the good. It does not always destroy or prevent artists from creating their works. Art is an inner need and drive.
