Michelle's original. Paul's we already know is going to be extra crispy
Keep Michelle's original like she wants and build the other one, happy birthday Paul
Yes do as she ask I totally agree😎😎😎
Extra crispy 👍👍
Definitely keep it original. It's got class. Paul has enough crawlers... :-)
Happy wife, Happy life!
"We'll worry about brakes when we need them..."
That needs to be on a shirt.
Original build all the way! Love the old classics. It is too clean to cut up and make crazy. You can go nuts with the white one. Let Michelle have this one once you clean it up a bit. Love the content, keep it coming!!
I agree with my RVA brethren. Original for the red one.
Original on red and go crazy on the white one
Stock is best
Leave the orange one basically stock and build the other one.
Agree. That orange one is so nice. Go crazy on the other one
I agree.
Agree with this, but the orange did look a bit better wet, so maybe a coat of gloss.
@@TravMaxAdventures As a non-desert-living person, I love the faded desert look, so I wouldn't change it.
I actually loved the rat rod paint of the other jeepster. But yeah, that stock orange paint looks good too. Just buff 'er out.
Paul's got enough jacked up toys, let Michelle do whatever she wants 😉
This.
Paul: LEAVE IT STOCK.. The value in the vehicle, is in it being a stock Jeepster.. Happy Wife: Happy Life..
Save the LS Power and Toy front end for the other Jeepster Paul. Get it all stock n shiny and Michelle will love it. Besides, that old six is a survivor!
Yes, keep it reasonably stock and nice looking with new seats, new paint and if you insist a mild engine swap.
It probably rides like an old wagon. I would lift it a little and give it bigger tires it will be much more enjoyable to drive.
Man that thing looked good after just a pressure wash. My vote is keep it fairly stock but also capable ;)
I really like how you include your boys in your work. Great to see!
I think original is the way for that Jeepster. It has such a cool look and charm
Definitely gotta respect it. We're stewards of this old technology, to save it for the kids who will grow up with Teslas.
You've got two Jeepster's keep her's original and build out the other.
@@kevinm.n.5158 , In other words, "We don't give no stinkin' credit to whoever owns it."
Keep that old Dauntless V6. Great classic motor.
Other than drive train it should be exactly as Michelle wants, just like Paul's rides are just like he wants them. I think it is awesome that you are doing this for your wife Paul!
This is precisely why I don't have property...because too much 'stuff' would follow me home. I am jealous much. 👍
Keep it original, love to see the classic stuff going down the road!
I agree!
Those little Buick V6’s in a Jeep were pretty badass. Keep it!
For your wife to be that excited is priceless she is absolutely a keeper you are a lucky man
Original down to the stock hubcaps. You almost never see a classic stock ride anymore. Original. Can hardly wait to see how it turns out.
I totally agree..
OE all the way! Keep it stock all the way!
The smile on Michelle's face was priceless when she saw it. It is awesome that you thought of her on your birthday.
Better yet: The smile on Paul's face when he saw that chicken!!!!
Happy Birthday Paul.
How the shop dog 🐕
This ride needs its own Playlist!
I have a healthy respect for the arguments for originality when maintaining a survivor like Michelle’s Jeepster.
It's a classic. Original rebuild is my vote! Totally agree with Michelle.
Quasi rebuild. Like find performance that will fit
@@marklar6505 Yep. Exactly.
Michelle may not burn the tires but she knows how to light birthday candles like a pro!
I can’t believe how fast this channel is growing!! People work for years and don’t have this much success.. glad to see you succeed
I did not think that was going to run. I am impressed! We need to more people like you to save these old vehicles.
I say that Michelle should get to decide on her Jeepster how to fix it up, and Paul can go to town on the other Jeepster. Always enjoy the videos and the positive energy that you all project! Thanks for sharing! Oh, and Happy Birthday, Paul!
It needs to stay original all the way! It keeps its charm that way, and you’ll look great driving it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!!!! We Love your channel, your family is Awesome, we are looking forward to many upcoming years of your repairs and adventures! 👍👍
The Orange jeepster looks awesome just the way it is. Keep it stock.
Keep it original, Paul. When I saw that Jeepster, I didn't think you would let it go.
Honestly Paul, this seemed like the perfect day. What more could a man want in life that what we just saw in this video? Happy Birthday!
Great field find with the Jeepster Commando. It looks great after the pressure wash. I would keep the look as is, can't wait to see your future videos on this project.
Happy birthday from an old country boy next door in Eureka Nevada! Really enjoy watching good old country folks having fun.
Team original, get the engine running right, fix the brakes put some shocks on it and leave it alone. It looks awesome like it is
Keep Michelle’s original and do the white one up extra crispy.
Restore - keep it original as possible as long as it’s safe.
When kaiser adapted the 225 to their jeep's they decided to install a very heavy flywheel to reduce the vibration of the oddfire V6. The flywheel came in two flavors 75 or 100lbs. The stored energy gives you incredible throttle control for climbing at very low rpm's. The downside is the T14a trans cant deal with the instantaneous torque of a hole shot on asphalt.
Those Jeepsters are amazing. Another project I'm going to keep watching
Make that Jeepster a nice little classy town rig for Michelle. The other one can be the Bubba truck. Thanks for saving them, and kudos to Billy Conn too!
For Michelle's I'd do slightly crispy keeping the original look with a few updates in drivetrain and slight lift
Happy Birthday Paul. That's exactly the kind of birthday I'd love. I'd go with Michelle, keep it classic.
Man what a. Blast seeing how much fun your having with the whole family. God bless you guys! Happy Birthday
I like the idea of keeping it original. Maybe a few 😉 mods but nothing that takes away for its awesomeness 😂
Always a good day when fab rats and Matt’s off-road recovery post!
Very true you are Sir! Love the banana is back alive!
Oh yes
@@duanestevens9789 banana is alive and in California on a secret mission!
Agree.
@@chrisgriffin2587 yes I know and I can't wait for the recovery of the footage being I've been waiting since they said! I live in northern California and love seeing them close to home! Love the Rubicon trip too!
Original for the orange no o/s tires, give Michelle what she wants and go to town on the rock crawler. Happy Birthday, Paul!
I love Michelle, shifts an old transmission like she has had it for years, and lights his cake with a torch. What a woman!
Impressive loading!
It's Michelle's, she should decide.
Happy Birthday Paul !
Love the new "steering receiver hitch." Nice idea!
Michelle, you are amazing ! ! !
Keep the orange one original since it is for her and it’s what she wants so happy wife happy life
Your relationship with Michelle brings to mind the lines from a prayer for marriage that my wife and I say every morning: "Verily they are married in obedience to Thy command. Cause them to become the signs of hamony and unity until the end of time." (PS We've been married 37 year. :) May your relationship with Michelle and your kids survive all the vicissitudes of this life.) Belated Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday Paul and love the Jeep! Looking forward to watching you get her all fixed up!
"Get that tire up here. Nobody eats for free here, man." Classic Paul. Happy birthday, Sir. It looks like it was a good one for a solid family man like you.
Haha, that is totally Paul's birthday gift. Love doing that stuff for my wife and she knows I get more enjoyment out of it than she ever will know or understand. Such a great couple and awesome find. :)
Dennis Collins is a great source for any information needed on this Jeepster. Great find!
You make me miss my Jeepster Commando. I paid a $175 dollars for a 67 Jeepster Commando which was over grown with berry bushes. Reached in turn the key and pushed the push button starter and it fired right up. Ended selling it to a buddy after I abused it for $500. He turned a sold it for $750 just for the running gear. No the body is in the field so the cows can scratch themselves against it. This video made me smile.
happy solar orbit day, Paul! yay for Michele’s new whip! leave it mostly stock!
Any woman who lites Birthday candles with a torch is a KEEPER !!!
This brings back fond memories! when I was a senior in High School I had a 1964 Buick Special Convertible . With a V-6 and 3 on the tree! You could stand between the radiator and the engine to work on it! I had so much fun with that car! Thanks so much!
Original is what she see. I respect that. I'm 60 now . But when I was your age. I had the same passion as you did which is nice to see. I admire your wife that she has your passion too my wife only drove anything that was shiny. I used to rebuild cars and trucks from 55 ,56 and 57th that was my passion. Now. . Arthritis it's a b**** I hope you take care of yourself not like the way I did not. I just ache all over have chronic pains I cannot do it anymore but I admire to see your you doing what I used to do. And I admire your wife to back you up that is the key to your passion. More power to you and God bless
Almost forgot happy birthday my friend
From San Antonio Texas big hug big love . Keep up the faith I love both of you
Keep Michelle's Jeepster as original as possible. If the "young ones" are involved as well, it will make a great family rebuild!
You guys are so incredibly blessed to have each other.
Same size tires and doll it up😀. Love you guys! You’re just real and it’s nice to watch family work together,
Paul & Michelle Keep up the good work I love the variety of vehicles you work on & recover
Awesome rip. Keep the car original, it is momma's car, so give her what she wants. Happy Birthday Paul.
I think Paul was more excited about it then she was. See his face when she said we’re going on the road! Lol 😂 oh yeah I vote original and built the other one up.
For men it can be complicated. His happiness on his birthday is pleasing his wife with something special for her. ;)
Who else lights birthday candles with a plumbers torch. Glad to see the old Jeep running papa dar looked a little disappointed that he didn’t get a longer ride in the Jeep. Happy Birthday Paul may you have a great day. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
Full build Michelle doesn’t know how much she will love a built Jeepster.
Michelle and Paul are a perfect match if there ever was one! :)
best birthday wishes to paul and thank you michelle for lighting his candles with the torch that made my day
Paul sneeking a look back to see how much rubber his burnout laid down, priceless!😄
Keep it original! That way you won’t be tempted to wheel it and get in trouble with your wife. You have plenty of custom trucks but nothing stock. I grew up with an old commando. That old Buick 6 is actually a pretty good engine, just rebuild it and it’s a ripper.
Can confirm that Buick 6 is a ripper. Slap on a 4brl carb and some headers and call it a day. My old H.S friend use to race a lot of different cars with a Buick 6.
And newer Buick V6 motors will bolt in plus he'll get 50 more hp. Get a buggy swap harness and keep the excellent fuel injection. No carb headaches off road. The motors are dirt cheap in pick a part yards. The BOP to Chevy trans adapters are cheap so he can grab any transmission he wants. Get a 700r4 and a 231 from an S10. Plus all the factory accessory mounts for widely available parts like alternators, PS pumps. Hell, even A/C if he wanted to retrofit stuff.
Paul never slows down. Man I wish I had your energy. Michelle is a lucky lady.
Did you see that dinner cooking? Paul is the lucky one!!!
....this thing is amazing. Can't wait for her being restored !!! This project shud make u catch up to Matt's Off Road quite a bit !!! Rock On
I'm amazed on how intact vehicles are around you guys. I'm from Ohio and I'm a die hard 4x4 lover. We don't have vehicles that are 30-40 years old running around much anymore. When you do see something old driving around you know you saw something more cool than any super car. The rust just comes year round with road salt in the winter and the summer time humidity. I save what I can. I got many projects. Getting anything rust free is a task and keeping them from rusting is a job.
You know it's a good buy when it comes with a bottle opener on the dash. Nice projects lined up.
Made me laugh when I saw the opener.
Paul’s smile when it started , just made me smile. Happy Belated Birthday Paul.🎉
Happy birthday Paul🧁🍦🎈🎈
Michelle I am so excited for you getting the Jeepster! Keep it Original…
What a fun video! …and fun family! Thanks for the great content showing how much fun it is to work when you have passion!
I reckon you should do what Michelle wants seeing it's going to be her car.... Happy Belated Birthday Paul .... ~:0)
Keep it stock as you can. You’ve got the parts from the other Jeepster to use on it. You could really restore that Commando.
Here from Matt and his families channel! Glad to be here!
Absolutely wonderful! Happy Birthday Paul
Brother, that Jeepster is friggin' AWESOME!!! I can just see Michelle toolin' down the road with that top-down on a warm summer day!!! Good job, Paul!!! You know the saying, "Happy Wife, Happy Life!!!"
This made me smile, Happy Birthday Paul!
Happy birthday Paul, buying the missus a gift on your birthday shows what a generous and considerate man you are
Jeepster Commando Club of America
Priceless source of help info and lots of folks in the Jeepster community.
I love the torch at the end lighting the candles! That was awesome!
I was saying the same thing when I saw it... Or rather heard it!!
Keep the old girl the way it is a runner it’s rare to hear an engine run that well especially from that model I recommend you keep it stock
PAUL!!! You are so lucky! I love those things. Need to keep it straight and clean. Leave that dauntless in there!!!
I so enjoyed this little family time
That was a hoot. I watch these purely for the entertainment, any fabrication skills I learn are a plus.😁Michelle, I believe you still owe us another karaoke video.
Original for the beautiful Michelle! Happy birthday Paul 🎂👍🏼
Happy Birthday Paul, love all your skills and attitude
Happy Birthday!! Blessed Life you have... and love seeing you pay it forward all of the time!!
Happy Birthday to Paul from southern BC. Love the new shop mascots being included in the videos. As an old guy who is likely old enough to be your father and married that long too, I'd suggest that it gets built to Michelle's specs on this one. Take care and good luck on your hunts this fall.
When you first showed this jeep I was afraid someone would figure out where it was and go get it before you could return. So glad you went back and got it! Happy Birthday Paul! --- would be pretty cool original, you could always jack it up later!
Happy Happy Birthday Paul. Really nice to see the whole family having fun with the new toy.
Happy Birthday!!
Amazing how good that Jeepster ran after sitting up so long!
Happy Birthday Paul, keep it original. It's so cool. Rock Crawl the other one.
By all means keep the orange jeep as stock as possible. No LS engine, no lift. Add nice wheels and tires, decent sounds system and A/C if possible.
Michelle's got a grin a mlie wide driving the Jeepster on her first run. Most women wouldn't even get in that thing. You're one in a million!
Since you have another one to turn into a crawler, I would say go with a mostly stock looking jeepster. Maybe a little larger tires with steelies and hubcaps, 6 point cage and some comfortable seats. Of course a good solid drivetrain for a good well rounded trail rig, grocery getter.
Then go nuts on the other one to match up to the fj45.
So, my two cents is that since Paul is going to mod his, Michelle’s should remain stock. Maybe put bigger tires, but not so big that bodywork needs to be modified, and better engine/drivetrain if she wants, but again, keep the metalwork stock.
Have you seen where they go? If they kept hers stock she would have to park hers at the highway and ride in with Paul!
Lmao when it popped over the look on Paul’s face 😷 priceless!! Happy B- Day!!!!
I like Paul’s idea. Michelle will love it after its done
The smile on wife's face is the best thing a man could ever ask for. Happy B-day.
It's clear to see that every gift a man could want, Paul has around him already. The love of family and friends and a new project to get dirty on. Happy Birthday Paul!
