Guga, a few details:
At 3:58, you displayed the chopsticks crossed. It's not good chopstick etiquette to do that.
Secondly, if you cook it with udon noodles, you shouldn't call it ramen. Ramen and udon are different genres of noodle, and there's actually a sort of rivalry in Japan between team ramen and team udon. Udon is a noodle indigenous to Japan, but Ramen came to Japan from China in the 1930s, and for much of its history, was considered Chinese food in Japan. For this reason, using bowls that have Chinese motifs to serve ramen (like the bowls you used) is fine, but doing that with udon feels wrong. But you also used Korean chopsticks (flat stainless steel chopsticks are a dead-giveaway that those are Korean chopsticks), so there's a bunch of cultural mash-ups going on here.
Japan's major city rivalry is between Osaka and Tokyo, and for a long time, udon was more popular in Osaka, whereas ramen was more popular in Tokyo (although this might not still be true anymore).
If you cook a dish using udon noodles, and call it ramen you're doing it wrong. I'm sure the dish was delicious, but still, it makes people who are into those two noodle camps cringe a bit.

@@anruyanshiju636 and Udon has more flexibility... Not much rules on the broth and you could be more creative. You could even make Udon Carbonara. So, for me, if it's Birria Udon, there are no issues...
Ramen... It is more finicky... Other than the noodles itself, there are kind of rules on the broth itself...
But, if we make this Birria Tsukemen, dipping noodles, then I think it could work. Because of the thickness, this looks more like a dipping sauce than a broth...
@@FunkyBukkyo Tbh instant noodle from first $1 Birriria would've been good enough for the second fancier dish. Noodles is a transport medium for broth and the instant packet noodles does the job just fine lol.
Ramen is Ramen because of the noodles. if you cook with Udon then its becomes Udon.

Ramen is called ramen because it uses ramen noodles. What you made is udon and not ramen since you used udon noodles. I'm sure it was delicious though

I've been getting into Moroccan cooking recently and would love to see sous vide vs tagine head to head.
While it doesn't develop a crust, the food in a tagine essentially steams over a bed of onions before enough moisture drips down and braises in the spice marinade.

As someone who loves improving instant ramen, I absolutely need to try making that birria consomé ramen, it looks very delicious
The only thing I'd be worried about is the saltiness, so just be sure to include no salt in the consume and it'll be fantastic I'm sure
Happy birthday. This is a great way to show how to take basic ramen and make it better. I've never understood the hatred some people have for ramen. The whole purpose of it is for a quick easy meal, or the basis of something more when you start adding extras to it.

After watching the pork belly episode, the sous vide pork belly makes me think of better options for the cook on the pork. Maybe the paste inside the roll and broil the skin side for a crunch. But I'm definitely going to try this.
