A lot of people excited for the Selena series are JLo Selena fans who don’t know the entire catalog or even all the different looks she had. A lot of people about to be hella confused when they show this version of Selena in the series on Netflix
Yeah because they’re only used to the 90s Selena with the long dark hair with bangs, they don’t know that she also had the mall hair, the perm, the curly teased looks the 80s were known for because the movie didn’t show that.
I agree but I’m most definitely not a JLo Selena fan nor a JLO fan. I did adjust to the black haired bang but the series is making me realize how much talent Selena really had. And it’s giving me more than the movie. I fell in love with Selena after watching the movie at a very young age and I was excited for this series because it goes in depth about Selena’s life and I love that.

The fact that they were living on there tour bus speaks volume because even though they were in hard times at the moment they still showed up to perform..

@@ajortiz377 she wasn't a big fan of Madonna. I never heard her talk about her. She may have listened to her but she had heavy R&B influence. Her 80's fashion was more conservative than Madonna's. Actually her 90's fashion was conservative to Madonna's. Madonna was raunchy, Selena considered posing in a bikini to be to too much and said she wouldn't do it again. So I don't think Madonna was her speed.

This is my favorite era of Selena. I love the performance style and the hair!
My favorite album of her's is the "And The Winner Is." That album has a lot of her tejano ranchera songs.

I was born in 1993 so the Selena Series was my introduction to Selena and her music journey. So I'm glad it was made I love her. Also because of it I read Chris' book too

@@trystonromero7182 I know they didn't just come to watch Selena perform because they were looking for the first person to sign to EMI Latin. Plus, no one really is appreciating that we have The series since everyone was complaining when it was coming out.
