I'm a red fan from Guatemala. I just love how your blogs show the experience of match going fans. I hope, one day I myself can go to a game and see my beloved team up close. Thank you for what you guys do. Started watching when you were a little kid.
What a massive win pity Casamerio with the red card why he had to get involved there was no need to we Miss him now for 3 huge games coming up crazy but hopefully we come threw these
@@MaidenFan1 Fred is good as an 8 but terrible as a 6... Im pretty sure eth will not play fred as a 6. On the other hand, Mctominay is just not good enough imo (but lets hope he will be on fire when face Leeds back to back next week)
i don't think that the ref would of Been a bit Harsh to casimero and i hate how he was a red card but the ref should of been a bit nicer the don't you think
For 70 minutes United really dominated and looked reasonably comfortable. However, the importance of us getting that second goal manifested itself in this game. For some reason, you always feel that United can be vulnerable with a slender one goal lead. The sending off changed the game and those last 20 minutes were squeaky bum time, especially as Palace got their goal so early after the incident. Fortunately, we defended reasonably well thereafter, and Martinez, who was my man of the match, was outstanding. But all the players put a shift in making sure that we got the three points. As far as I was concerned, Andre Mariner, once again proved what a poor referee he is, and what a comedy VAR can be. When the incident started (which was all down to Antony's reaction which imho was uncalled for) look at Mariner's positioning and how he stood back while the melee happened directly in front of him. If Casemiro should have been sent off, then from my viewpoint. 2-3 other players should have gone with him. VAR has become a real cop-out for Referees. Sadly, we lose Casemiro now for 3 games unless United appeal the sending-off - and that is not always a good thing as it could lead to an extended suspension if the appeal is lost. Arsenal losing, City losing, and Newcastle drawing, has all gone United's way. We must capitalise now on the two games against Leeds and the one against Leicester. If we win all three then who knows - especially if other results go our way. Looking back it's sad really that we dropped those four points against Palace and Arsenal to last minute goals, because if we had not, we would be in second place just four points behind the Gooners!
Depends on how we start Lewis and what team EtH selects. We can't go on giving early silly goals away and then having to chase the game again. Elland Road will be a cauldron of hate and most of our players have never ever experienced playing there. However, if we can dominate them from the start, get in front and put them on the backfoot - then I don't see why we should not win the game.
Not the greatest performance at Leeds, but United found a way to come out on top. What impresses me with EtH is that he is quick to make decisions that will impact the game. This game was important in that we could not afford to drop any more points. Great cross from Shaw which Marcus put away to give us the lead, and then Garnacho's burning pace finished the job off when he left the Leeds defender trailing before scoring on the near post. Game over. Now we have Leicester at weekend and they have had two very good 4 goal results so United are going to have to be careful. Oh for those dropped points at Palace, Arsenal, and at home to Leeds!
