    One minor change I would suggest; Saying "does your word start with the letter 'M'... No? Then the last letter has to be an 'S'" implies that you narrowed it down to two possibilities, and you just eliminated one, but your audience shouldn't think that... even though that's exactly what you did.
    Instead, start with "Your word... It doesn't start with an 'M' does it?" This makes it so you are right no matter what. If it IS, carry on the way you did, but if it ISN'T, say "I didn't think so. I was struggling between M and A and had a much stronger read on A".
    Since your phrase has a contradiction in it when you say "Your word DOESN'T start with the letter 'M' does it?" It allows you to be right in either situation

    This is so intricate and unique. Like how everything just works out. As a spectator I would never guess, one that the cards are in s specific order just by looking at them or two that there are only 4 combos possible. Pretty awesome

    Woah man! This trick was great! Sadly, I recognized the stack after V opened up the three cards but no ordinary person would know that. HOWEVER, even knowing a stack is used, I had NO IDEA how you pulled off the ending! Great work man! I still have no idea how you don’t have over 100k subs!

    very neat! also nice that its a stack that can be setup kind of quickly.
    i also like that you can make up a story to why you chose this book to remember.
    using a dictionary might also be funny and then recite the explanation and not the word.

  • @b3arwithm3

    I think the trick would be more credible if you get to see the cards and you claim you memorized the whole book. As is, you just made a guess without any clue given and to the spectator there was no relationship to the chosen card. So what was even the purpose of picking cards.

    ehhh maybe if presented better it would be more powerful. you should explain WHY people are doing what they are doing otherwise there will be no coherence or narrative behind the effect. like, why are they cutting the deck, why are they dealing cards, why are they opening a random book, why are we doing math? none of it is explained at any point that i can remember. so the effect has no reasoning.... extremely nonsensical effect imo, but thanks for taking the time to share it lol

    • @CardMechanic
      @CardMechanic  3 роки тому

      😂 appreciate the input, I'm sure you're smart enough to figure out the presentation and storyline. Best of luck bud!

      @@CardMechanic sorry if i came off douchey but hopefully this makes you think about the effect more. the effect is you deal cards and add them up, and the number you get points to a word in a book right? you only explain that right before the reveal, the magic shouldnt happen at the same time as the reveal, they should feel anticipation that something impossible will happen. to make the effect better i would let them cut the cards and then ask them for a number between 1-10 or something of that nature, telling them that we are going to add the values, and that they will mean something in a moment. also you would have several books laying around, so they get to choose any book the want to use. now you have created anticipation, and also the illusion of choice. yeah it will be a lot more work to do, but ultimately would make the effect MANY times more powerful. how this is done in the video literally feels set up the entire time. why do they have to deal 3 cards? why not 5? why not 7? if it was really magic they should be able to do that right? pretty easy even for a laymen to deconstruct... thats why the choice factor is so important.
      regadless you should have multiple book choices (they all have the same pages inside but different covers and backs)... if the stack gets too complex using numbers greater than 3, than simply find a way to FORCE the number 3. its imperative that the spectator feels like everything was their choice. otherwise it feels extremely set up.
