I enjoyed this ! I'm trying to learn how to cook indian food (I'm a black girl in North America) . Ive always loved indian food !! Thank you for this tutorial ,I'll be attempting to make this tomorrow
A good book that helped me was "authentic Indian food" by anjula Devi there are good recipe for curries, rice, and also things like breads chutneys(which are delicious) and pakoras etc. It was the best Christmas present I ever got. It also saved me a lot of money cooking in that style especially once I had a good collection of herbs and spices.
Somehow I love this chef more than his recipes . He looks like a Doctor or a professor explaining systematically as if we are in college . 😀 Good presentation 👍
HI I must tell you, your dhal looks by far the best out of all the versions I have watched! I LOVE how you mix all the different dhals together for texture. Shalom to us only in Christ Yeshua
Thank you so much! I had such a nice and calming feeling when watching this video. I love lentils, eat them almost every day! Already bought Asafoetida and Cumin seeds. I love love love the Indian cuisine! Thank you!
Thank you so much for clear instructions! It was delicious. No other lentil soup I made or tried compares to this. Of course, I used all the dals in the recipe, not just lentils. So delicious! I have never tried authentic dal, but to me this tasted very authentic! Didn't find haldi, and still it was very good!
I made this Dal . when I'm watching your video. .i"m not a Indian but my boss they're from india. leaving in Singapore..when I made this recipe. Oh my goodness. I 'm so happy that I really don't know if they like it or not. this Dal recipe. ❤❤❤ thank you so much ..God bless you ❤❤❤👍
Here in Fiji we make somewhat the same dish but it is still called dhal......glad to know the actual name of it. I guess we here still have to learn the actual or proper names of indian dishes. Well im learning, already have learnt a lot. Thanks to Rajshri n the bombay chef!!
Love your recipe. I notice you don't put onions ,ginger n garlic. I will try it. Anyway I just wanted to suggest that the water that came out of washing the Dhal, I use it for my plants
u r one of my favorite chef. i kinda like the way u explain things. i made this dal and it came out awesome, mouth watering delicious. my indian friends were astonished and didn't believe i made it. nothing is hard if you have passion and love for what u wanna do.
Today is Janmashtami and I've tried this at dinner with butter nan. It was awesome and my wife liked it a lot. Thanks Varun for this lovely recipe which is like a Janmashtami gift for me. BTW I wish everyone a very happy Janmashtami.
I think he shown his recipe. Red chillies tadka give you different test and green chillies which he put aft that will give you flavor as well as test. If anyone wants can make tadka with even garlic n red chilli and while serving can take according to test. It's nicely explain.
This dal is different so reverse steps seem normal. Tons of versions of tempering just for dal alone I wouldn’t challenge this guy completely. Plus love the music.
I have a different kind of pressure cooker, for me it isn't possible to count the whistles. What time should I cook it for? Thank you, looks incredibly delicious.
I tried this recepie yesterday and it turned out delicious.I even shared the recepie with my Mom in India. Thanks for sharing the lovely traditional recepie
Very nice Varun Inamdar Bhaisahab to reflect such a heavy, healthy, quick, tasty recipe and the name you have given it as DAL-PANCHARATNA makes it more inviting,no doubt. I added coconut powder and garam masala paste with butter on the top while serving my LORD and then shared with all,at home.It was very much desired for which I thank you with High Regards. DIDI Jaishree Devi.2016.
Hey Chef...you n your recipes are something else...there is something so unique n fresh about it ..I love the simplicity of your recipes ...I don't know what it is but your videos are so refreshing..you inspire to cook ..👍👍in my head I just know whatever you make would be lovely ...without a doubt...pls keep it up ...Thank you 👌🏼👌🏼🎉🎉🍡🍭
Seeing your daal my mouth is watering. If we want good flavour I think we should add Hing and Garamond masala at about the end of cooking if not most of the flavours are burnt in the burning oil. Please reply. Bye.
