I installed the 271hp cam and solid lifters, Mallory dual point distributor(state of the art, then!). Drove the heck out of it for 2 years, drag racing, long road trips ( those 4:11s were tough on the highway, before the days of overdrive!). Only repairs was 1 clutch and 1 u-joint.
I have a 65 Mercury Comet (Same car but different front end) that I want to build up as a soft-roading race car like this, glad to see I'm in good company!
Cool! I also had a 65, very cool looking design!
Heck yeah! DO IT!!!!!!
Everything about this is pure badassery. Love the Falcon (or any lead sled for that matter). Love the Ford V8 sound. Love getting sideways in the dirt. With a couple of driver shots and a jump or two this would be like watching the chase scene from Bullit! Man, I wish I had one of those cars!!
This is how we old schoolers turn up the bass.
Amazing sound
It's jus' Cletus makin' a overland run... he does it all the time, when he got a load of moonshine to deliver!😁
Omg that is the coolest thing I've ever seen I absolutely love it
They look more like “runnin’ moonshine” cars in the backwoods of Appalachia!! 👍👍👍 😂😂
As a West Virginian... you're not wrong.. This was normal driving back around the 70's and 80's 😂
Exactly what I thought...
Yep. Sure does. I’m from Eastern Kentucky
Imagine symphonies of these v8s around your city. That was the sound of American cities in the late 90s and early 2000s. Old four-door beaters with glass packs and custom mag wheels
Rally cars: Smol light cars with big turbos
Noone:
Absolutley Noone:
Ford: BOAT RACING TIME
Love ford V8s. Thanks for sharing
Europeans always say their cars are better but love to import our old school stuff. :)
Steal culture? Could you elaborate please? This is a car, driving an american car is not stealing culture.
They are superior. But those old motors are cool as fuck.
Used to drive like this from sixteen to around twenty five.... Had to grow up sooner or later !
you do 1/4 that in a modern car....
ABS failure...... traction control failure....... stability control failure
plastic fender destroyed
EVAP large leak
ETC ETC ETC
That’s a beautiful sound.
I keep thinking I'm going to see the general Lee and them Duke Boy's
And Catherine Bach. ...hmmmm
That's a Dodge, not a Ford
In the movie there is a rally and there is fords and the dukes come in i think thats what he was referencing
@ChaiotiX
It's the style of driving I'm talking about, it reminds me of the Duke's of hazard tv show
1964 ford falcon futara my first car , replaced every nut and bold rebuilt the engine with my elbow grease , loved that car great to see one run again
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🦅 🦅
That’s the sound of freedom, ladies.
Great job . rallying old cars makes for a better challenge and safety for everyone . bravo.
That looks like a lot of fun.
Ahhh finally a video with real music!
Exactly what I was doing at the age of 12 when I got my first
" field car "...love this shit
Merica! That sound made my day. I'll sleep good tonight. Thank you to the little machine who sent me this youtube suggestion just before bed. Lol
Reminds me of running moonshine up in the smoky mountains
I definitely want to do this one time in my life! Looks & sounds awesome!
Dukes of Hazard try out for 2019?
Love the sound pure motor no computers or nothing music to my ears
When I was a kid back in the sixty's, my father would drive just like this going back home in the mountains going to church. After church we would load up with some white lighting to sell back in the city. Fast cars, faster women.
