Thank goodness for soul packs. Love both sides of this 45 and personally, I have always viewed both as Northern Soul and well within the catalogue. I do understand that others will feel there is a distinction re modern and northern, but for me it's a tool for finding fantastic music.
A mighty fine Quality soul record Love ❤ this track for many years I Love N/S forever &KTF to everyone connected to The hugely popular soul scene ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Blackpool Mecca choon for me (but then I've been around for a while)...back then it was all called 'Northern'...only splitting when Ian Levine, Colin Curtis and others pursued a different, more modern sounding playlist...so yes one could describe it as Modern Soul, but back then it wasn't ;o)
Definitely 70’s soul that fitted into the U.K. soul scene. The 70’s sound was oh so different from what originally branded as Northern soul. Top record and loved it for years.
@@trevorhurd2554 .....Massive Mecca tune - got a lot of plays at other venues and by other DJ's [eg Pep] but will always remind me of the Highland Room'!
MrDjdekone when does northern soul finish 1969 !!!!! soul music is always so the 70 played at wigan casino aint northern ? totally numpty get your vest and flares out
Michael John Brown hope u read and understand friends with a lot of djs and collectors and never went to Wigan and enjoying my time post Wigan. Do you have a vest with your badge on it in your bags on.
74 my first visit to Station rd 4G mins frm Torch. .too young but lucky enough to listen too soul tunes from an 11yr old & grew up close to CATTS & many spinners played all about the counties where I lived so am I entitled to an opinion. .. :)))
Michael John Brown your opinion that's right your own opinion but there are plenty of crossover/modern/70s soul like this one being played it venues classed as northern soul. 13year old central pier Morecambe was my 1st all nighter as my mates uncle ran soul promotions and personal friend now. Know most of the top djs personally old and new open your mind and help the scene progress instead of being in a time warp
Still listening to fab tunes like this and more in lockdown. Miss the soulscene. KTF

fabulous track
Still sounds great, two quality sides
Great
Good track
Thanks to my mate ed for putting one of these my way !
Decent modern soul but if this is northern so is Bobby Womack's Across 110th street but that's only my humble opinion. Flip side nice and slow.
