      Dear Tim. Thank you for this performance. It's amazing. I am also curious about the piano you used in this video, because the last/highest octave was beyond standard 88 keys of a "normal" piano. Was the piano you used in this video a: "Nine Octave Piano - The Big Beleura", which has 108 keys? I heard that you pressed (with your right hand fingers) those highest keys on this piano. Am I right that this piano had more than 88 keys? Maybe 108 - The Big Beleura? Please let me know.

    Hi Tim! Quick question: is there anything specific you did to develop your upper end, mostly for chest and falsetto? I really, really appreciate your sound singing lead and tenor parts, but I don't have much range for my falsetto at the moment, mostly due to neglect. Other than just using it more, anything you'd suggest? Thanks!
    Side note: Your go the distance tag (that I admittedly saw from George collier) inspired me to record barbershop tags for an afternoon - had never done that before.
    Great work!

    • @TimWaurickMusic
      @TimWaurickMusic  2 роки тому +26

      That’s awesome, Charlie!! Lots of fun recording multitracks! My main advice is to start singing through your passagio on a lip trill or through a straw. Straw phonation has been a huge part of my vocal development. I got a cold many years ago and partially paralyzed my right vocal fold. I had started losing my higher notes, but singing/buzzing a straw truly helped me start getting it back and rebuilding. Good luck!!

      chippchipp1 In the case of Tim Waurick, yes, I believe he's capable of this. Having seen him and heard him live and knowing first-hand of his vocal talent, it's quite possible. Look for "Vocal Spectrum Elephant Fly" for a sample of his capabilities.

    • @sylinmino
      @sylinmino 9 років тому +30

      chordial Tim Waurick is massively talented...but this is obviously fake. There are a few giveaways. Firstly, he can't really sing bass--even on Tim Tracks he pitch corrects a lot of the lower stuff. Second, Tim is a master of vocal technique, and knows that that ridiculously high stuff won't come by throwing himself against his chair like that in agony--it usually comes through a relaxed voice. If you watch him, you'll notice that in most cases, he'll never strain even at the top of his chest range. By the fact that I know that Tim would know better, this has gotta be fake.

      If you really want to hear his range and lung power, look for "five foot two" where he holds the last note for 52 seconds, in full voice, amazing

    hey tim! im a fellow barbershopper myself! 2 questions how do you train your voice to hit those low and high notes? (im a barritone). and secondly how come there are no learning tracks for "i'll always be mothers boy?" this is the next song my group is doing afor a comp at the end of may and we cannt find any tracks the rest seem to have their parts down but seeing as how im a barritone its not so easy for me without a track. do you kno where i can obtain one?? thanks!
