A very exciting scene that I have kept watching repeatedly! Credit should go to actress Li Chun for her amazing performance as the villainous Wei Yan Wan. Li Chun is indeed an extremely good actress!
Epic for so many reasons but a few: When Hongli asks Empress Dowager: you went to Yikun palace, he realizes this entire situation has been set up by Ruyi. Back when Hongli found out about GaoGuiFei’s treachery and Empress XiaoXians scheming, he asked Ruyi, will you scheme against me? She said no, I want us to essentially not measure up against each other. He realizes she schemed against him in this moment, meaning they are no longer of one mind. Even Yuhu Gugu and Jiang Yubin were involved in this setup, and he merely showed up. 2: By involving Empress Dowager, Hongli could not sweep this under the rug. He intended to treat this as a personal matter quietly until Empress Dowager showed up, providing further evidence and truth to not only LingGuiFei’s schemes, but also insight into Yongji’s temperament, which at this point he’s been ingesting mushrooms for years now. 3: LingFei’s reveal of being raised by him, and became this way step by step through learning from Hongli. She highlights how he is truly alone in the harem now, with the tie between him and Ruyi forever severed and everyone in the harem using him as a means to an end.

I have just realised that this is a very extended version of the abusive husband / evil mistress + wronged wife mini dramas - 😄🤣 but I love it - this was the very first C -Drama I ever watched and coming back to it I can recognise quite a few faces . The costumes are beautiful and the acting by the main leads is so good . 👏👏.

She was insane to think the Emperor would be merciful after all she did was brought out to the open like this.
Consort Yu should be the one that emperor promoted the title of “imperial noble consort” while Ruyi is being confined in Yikun palace. Not just she is the mother of Yonqi , but also she is one of the senior consorts in the harem.If consort Yu takes that title she can get easily punished wei yanwan and avenge Ruyi, there will be no more deaths of the royal heirs or consorts in the palace. Emperor is so blinded and unfair he only thinks himself and he always doubted Ruyi’s love and loyalty for him even with the late empress fuca he didn’t treat her better either.

I don't know how many times I have watch this particular clip, but it is so satisfying to see Wei Yanwan get hers, and to see the 'Emperor' finally see what a blind, stupid man he is.

I never thought about Ruyi scheming against him. I always just thought she was making sure Yawan's sins were exposed before Ruyi died.

这部戏一开始因为妆发的问题（例如如懿少女时期唇妆是死亡芭比粉，然后感觉底妆也不够干净，整体造型就很显老，有点像村姑）但后期如懿成熟以后的妆发有可能是更贴合演员实际年龄，就没那么出戏了。而如懿安然离去的那一幕，那个妆容应该说是整部剧最精致的一次了，非常的惊艳。如果这部剧当时在前期再好好雕琢一下细节就好了，但抛开这些这部剧真的是百看不厌。
霍建華也沒有少年的樣子，怎麼就不嘴？
人經過歷練少了青澀，難再演少年角色，只看妝髮還講的頭頭是道，也是膚淺了。
