He learned and arranged this Ukrainian folk song with his pianist just the das before the concert. He wanted to surprise his Ukrainian fans at his concert in Kyiv Ukraine. It’s so beautiful and it breaks my heart to think about what Ukrainian mothers have to endure now.

I love the simple songs, especially folk songs from all around the world, and of course even more when Dimash is singing them. Pure beauty and emotion. And when Dimash sings his Kazakh (folk/old) songs, there comes a depth and even stronger connection to it - no words can explain what happenes then, why it hits so hard.... You wondered if you had seen something else from the same concert? Possibly you recognised the red designer suit, which he wore a few days before at the Kremlin, when he was singing ‘Your Love’ for the first time?
This concert in Kiev was the last in his Arnau tour before it was halted by pandemic restrictions (I think they began the very next day in Ukraine).
P.S. I see you earlier watched ‘War and Peace’ from this same concert ...
