Dojo points always end in shame guilt and embarrassment. Class reward jars are not the best either. I would just try to shoot for intrinsic motivation, rather than external rewards.
Great ideas for next year! I agree with not using Dojo Points for prizes. Every student has different emotional and educational needs/goals, need to differentiate for each student as to how they earn rewards as it's very different for each student, at least it was for the students I've had in my past 13 years of teaching.
@@teachloveinspire561 I agree! The more i think about it I might use it more as like a class currency! Last year i “paid” kiddos at the end of the week for their classroom jobs- that way everyone’s getting a point and it’s not based on behavior 😊
