Shrimp, I hope this comment some how reaches you. Your videos mean a lot to me, I continually find myself coming back to them over the years. They're cozy, informative, and it just makes me happy to see someone as genuine as yourself find a big audience. Thanks for all the wisdom too! happy new year.
This reminds me so much of exploring Lake Ontario beach as a child. I'm no longer mobile so this was such a freeing way of exploring a beach I will never visit. Thank you.
Mike I am going through a hard time right now, I wake up with awful PTSD nightmares but I want you to know that it’s your voice that calms me and allows me to go back to sleep. No matter what is on, weird stuff in a can or budget challenges or just food or whatever, I take comfort in hearing you speak about the little things that make life nicer. Thank you so much!
My grandmother used to live in Eype until about 5 years ago. She called it sleepy Eypee and this video has brought back fond memories of my time spent with her, wether it be fossil hunting on the beach, an exiting christmas when we were struck by a power cut or managing to watch the sailing from the cliffs for free during the 2012 olympics
What a lovely day for a beach walk, sunshine and blue skies! I don't know that I have ever seen a beach quite this terracota color. This was so calming and brought on deeper breaths and slower heartbeats. I will play it again tomorrow on the tv screen as we prepare ourselves for a foot of snow 😅
I was fascinated by the waterworn stones. A few of the larger ones, the boulders. Wow. Even the waves sound different to me. Pebbley sounding. The place felt like a place to sit down and just look around and relax.
So peaceful and calming. The sound of the waves on shingle or pebble beach will always make me feel happy. Glad you can get out and enjoy it in person and thanks for bringing it to me while I'm ill in bed. I'm sure many many people feel the same way!
Eva: "Watch out Dad! Iron bee attack!! I'll dig you a hole to hide in. Quick!!" You're lucky to have such a fearless protective doggy! Lovely vid to enjoy with a quiet breakfast
I love that the Subtitles are disabled, implying nothing is said. This implies you're looking out for the deaf/hearing impaired people, so that they don't sit there and wait for words when none will come and the auto subtitles don't put random sounds as subtitles .
Absolutely beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing this with us, Mike. As someone who lives semi-far inland, i absolutely ADORE the sea, but almost never get to visit it. It's lovely to see it in your videos. :)
Sat on that beach a few times in the summer early in the morning, before cycling up over the cliffs to west bay to meet the wife for a coffee. Great videos Mr Shrimp!
I really liked this video. Very ASMR- like. The sea is so soothing. And I still love Eva, and am still thinking of getting a dog as close to her as possible.
Totally possible but naturally depends on the original footage. Filming and working with higher resolutions takes more space and time, I guess it's dependent on many factors such as which camera is being used and how fast and spacious the computer used for editing is. Mind you, AI is now being used extensively for better "upscaling" of content so it would be very possible to take this content and have it in higher resolution than it was originally created at.
I've tried shooting and editing in 4K before, but the file sizes are a problem (and there is some bottleneck on my editing PC that makes it difficult there - it's quite a high spec machine, but editing 4K footage is choppy) - for upload to UA-cam, I always set a very high bitrate for these videos; I would have to do the same for 4K or there would be a lot more compression artifacting, but 4K at high bitrate is huge
Nice one bro Jurassic coast is very cool , I live at seatown just round the corner , plenty pyrite Ammonites, also big ol' Belemnites , plesiosaur and icthyasaur vertebrae and normally no dog egg's, 😊
Perfect location for artists. I could spend a long time there as I saw loads of potential compositions. I did think the sea was rolling incwith a stutter at some point then I noticed the clouds doing something odd. Top left quadrant. Was it my device or the filming?
Great red beach, and the angle of the Sun. I enjoyed the gorgeous scenery, brooks, translucent rocks, and Eva's excitement! Oh, and is this a "beach" or a "shingle", or both? I'm a Yank, I don't know the exact definition of a "shingle". I've never heard it used here, at least not in California where I've never seen a beach made up of pebbles.
Mike, panning and tilting and overall camera movement: is it maybe similar to reading a text out aloud for someone else? ......whenever you think you're miserably sluggish, then you are just a tad too fast for your audiences?
It's like were trying unconsciously to fill the gap left by Tom Scott. I thought that after realising I've released more long form and linguistic notes recently. On my smaller channel.
A pleasant sensory experience. Landscape. And atmosphere. Not so much the helicopter but it's realistic so adds sense of place, immersion. And it doesn't last long.
I was confused though every time I got distracted and looked away we seemed to be back holding the same pebble up to the Sun on the same bit of beach. I had decided that I needed to get the kitchen cleaned up and lunch made before seeing the video, so I am distracted by trying to do both at the same time.
Ok, the name of this place has stumped me on how to pronounce it. My best attempt at it on my own before looking it up is maybe "e-pea" or maybe "ey-yup". Google says it's "eep". Some video I found has them pronouncing it like "eye-p". Any suggestion/help here?
Some place names in Dorset are a case of 'ask two people, get three answers'. Eep or something midway between that and 'ape' seems to be the consensus.
Have you seen the "day in the life of a true brexit geezer" videos that trended on short-form content a while back? Curious what you think of this stereotypical view that others have of british people
Is this another test, was interesting to a degree at times, you picking a pebble up and viewing it for clarity is it an agate, with a supple thud, as you discarded the item, doggo was quite amusing though teeth against rocks, not a sour puss here, perhaps one of those ball with a stick throwing things. Lack of dialog, talking/discussion about things I gave up at 13 minutes sorry.
How very beautiful. I don't know how I missed this for 6 days, there may be too much meaningless drivel in my feed again. Thank you, Mike.

Eva properly dressed in the best colour. 👍

There are only 28 videos of Slow TV, you need to pump up those numbers man, this is a great relaxation!
So he should do slow … faster?

Eype Beach... home of the Wild Eep, of Mac OS fame.

I really loved this walk on the beach. So beautiful and relaxing. Eva seems so happy exploring too.
I'm surprised this is the first "slow TV" Atomic Shrimp video I've seen. It's very calming and right up my alley.
Love slow TV, so relaxing 😌
This so relaxing, I'm sweltering down here in the Southern Hemisphere
What a great walk. Thank you.💜
Eype is one of my favourite places - I often stay in the campsite just up from the beach - just so relaxing there
Eva is just adorable 😍 ❤ Such a beautiful beach ⛱️ 😍
Shrimp does slow TV the best. Il be DL'ing this one for my up coming deployment to the NM desert.
Beautiful and that sky looks amazing. Love these vids thank you
One thing is clear, Eva has you well trained, you know exactly what she want you to do. And so do we all....
Good obedient dog servant!
What a beautiful calming video. Thank you. :)

the perfected form of a youtube channel, honestly.
I really liked this video. Very ASMR- like. The sea is so soothing. And I still love Eva, and am still thinking of getting a dog as close to her as possible.
Rhymes with "heap" rather than "hype," I gather.
Thanks, just had back surgery, can't do anything, this video helped.
Thank you for taking me along on this beautiful walk.
SIMPLY GORGEOUS!! Thank you, once again for taking me to a place I cannot get to IRL... Beautiful!!
Thoroughly enjoyed watching . Thanks Mike.
Eva is so cute! 💜
Wow what a beautiful view & I really miss the sound of the sea. Thanks Atomic shrimp 🦐🤗
Sitting in a small office in North India at a beach in UK I am happily sauntering along
I'm not sure how youtube works but I would love to see 1440p/4k options on videos like these :) great stuff as always shrimpy

That looks like a lovely beach. 🎣🐟😎
Beautiful!! Normally I enjoy your narrative. However, i really enjoyed just the sounds of natuer!! Thank you for sharing ❤❤
Eype a lovely little place go there a lot with my dogs as I live Bridport 😊 xx
Good morning! What a great way to start the day with a coffee
I didn't realize that footprints on shingle beaches would be so deep and well defined.

Beautiful!
Lovely!
I appreciate this, very relaxing. Hi Eva! 🐾
Lovely litlle beach. I took part in a coastal foraging course with Frazer Christian over Golden Cap last year - the whole area is stunning! Atb Andy
Seems like an uncomfortable surface to walk on. But it is cleaner than sand.
That's nice seawater you got there, ours is so stinky and awful I feel bad letting the dog go in it.
Dorsets coast...watch out for dinosaur fossils falling from the cliffs !
Shoutout to that dog fr
Some of the shots looking down at the ground could easily be mistaken for aerial shots of Mars
Fantastic looking spot..... its like if the Earth and Mars got together and made a baby.

It's a beach; shingle is the material (it means gravel, or a mixture of everything from large pebbles down to grit)
@@AtomicShrimp Thank you very much!
thinking of Broadchurch

Nice quiet entertainment. I let a guest enjoy it.She has never been to any beach.
imagine viewing there a flying octopus - what recently released american army as new UFO recordings for Congress

Saturday morning 🍤
Bacon 🥓 sandwich cup of rosy 🫖 and back to bed for viewing
🐶 isn’t happy though after being informed that her 🚶 is delayed
As someone who lives in a desert, I'd rather be on a beach right now.
This is what the beaches on Mars will be like one day
Do you ever go fishing or crabbing or clamming?

@@AtomicShrimp I see, thanks!
It's nice to get some exercise to burn up those weird stuff in a can calories😊
😇
I like some sloe tv now and then.
I was half hoping for a pronunciation guide for ‘Eype’ (does it rhyme with pipe or peep or is the ‘Ey’ part as in Jane Eyre?)
Eep.
where is the sand?
Not all beaches are sandy

I'm not familiar with those videos. I do get tired of some of the stereotypes though.

This makes me miss the beach by the house I grew up in. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to just listen to waves crash in some moments of peace.
