The GOAT started his career in 1978 but before that he was writing songs for the late Papa Wemba. He wrote songs like Ebale mbonge, Mere supérieure, Aissa na Zoe, Fleur Betoko and so many many more. More prolific than this guy you die. He wrote songs for many other Congolese artists but he never ever mentions it. Some of these artists actually spoke about it, artists like General Defao, Bozi Benz, the late King Kester. He founded Quartier Latin in the year 1992 after releasing his first EP Ngounda in 1983, Ngobila in 1984, Lady Bo, in 1985, Diva in 1986, TCHATCHO du sorcier in 1987, l'orfevre also called les prisonniers dorment in 1988 if I'm not mistaken. He also released another album, Rue d'amour before founding Quartier Latin. He is a true poet and most of his albums are popular, great successes and contain hits.
