People really underrate how much influence classic TNA had on wrestling today
I have to imagine D-Ray 3000 is an attempted Outkast / Andre 3000 reference. Outkast was big at that time.
That was my guess too
This is correct
You left out that TNA’s weekly PPVs were only $10, so 4 of them were still cheaper than 1 WWE monthly PPV.
Joey Wyatt they were only 7 dollars every Wednesday at 7.
So you're saying paying 35 to 40 dollars a month for 4 humdrum television shows lol is better than buying one bad as$ ppv (at the time WWE was on fire) I feel sad for your bitterness
And aew
And probably still shorter than RAW feels
Mike Scott bro all he said was it’s cheaper lmao no one was talking about quality but go off if you want I guess???
it's pretty cool how many of these guys are still/back with Impact
***In Thanos Voice***
You couldn't live with your failure, so where did it bring you? Back to me.
The way your voice trails off on "Mantaurrrr...!!!" in the intro gets me every time 😂😂😂
Monty Brown was one I wish would've lasted longer in Wrestling.
I agree, but I do respect why he dropped everything. He's a good man.
Dude should have been the centrepiece of the Heavyweight division and given the Goldberg push.
Have him cut promos and squash all the ex WCW/WWE talent floating around while they build up a few big, strong young guys they could have had a Heavyweight division as interesting as the X Division
@@tonyjackson4078 he had to leave wwe for family issues
He did what was right and gave up wrestling to take care of his Sisters kids after her death such a selfless man
Before the Murderhawk Monster, before Vance Archer, there was... Dallas. Humble beginnings for my boy Lance Archer.
I'm happy to say I've memorized the lyrics of the intro 😂
I’m happy to say I skip it every time
This is my favourite UA-cam intro ever, I love it!😂
That's dedication
And here I'm still working on the words to that Randal Keith song.
Elix Skippers Applebee's features Prime Time Potatoes, Triple X Nachos, and High Spot Hamburgers.
I kid I'm a restaurant manager too, glad he's living a normal life.
Wow, I never realised how much Angel Garza resembles his uncle.
The original TNA had a chance to give the WWE a run for their money, but they just mishandled most of this talent
For me, peak TNA was probably around like 08 through 2012...
I may be a little off on the exact dates, but I'm talking about with Scott Steiner running wild, Kurt Angle being over af and kicking ass... Etc.
@@JacksonOwex
Nah I looked it up. Steiner was in TNA from 06 thru 2010. Hogan/bischoff showed up in 2010. So I was a bit off on my dates but I knew it didn't sound right when you said Hogan and shit was there lol.
No.
Great response
@@JacksonOwex you smoking crack wwe is like wcw 2000 now and aew is more like wwf 1999 at its highest ratings the stories in aew are 1k times better then anything in wwe
Sooo, I binged this entire 'What happened to that wrestler' series last week, and each morning I would wake up singing that song in my head. It was a fun way to get the day started.
Ooft. How did TNA not strap the rocket to Monty Brown as their big time babyface?
Green and granted not Ricky Steamboat, but he was money.
Ex NFL player credibility. Strong as fuck, charismatic. Could have been TNA's Goldberg
That was after a multiple year run in TNA
Also he couldn't cut a promo to save his life and his ring work was C- at best. Not totally his fault because he was pretty inexperienced, but he wasn't ready for the main event. He had good charisma and intensity, and I thought TNA used him pretty well as an upper-midcard guy.
Couldn't cut a promo? 😂 Is that a joke?
De-Meltzify your answer
@@jetblack99 couldn't cut a promo? What are you talking about? He was one of the most creative guys to touch a mic. How can you say he has good charisma but couldn't cut a promo? I think you, yourself are confused.
I train with Chris Harris, he’s actually a super great guy
I heard his favorite trainee was someone by the name of Barry, weird.
I still want a "Where Are They Now?" for everyone in the full intro song. Yes commenter, I know most of them have already been commented on. Not the point.
Just having them all in the one video would be awesome.
Also it’d mean a short recording session. So, advantage?
As a sad update to this list, Scott Hall passed away in March.
I remember Jacqueline from her USWA days in Memphis. Her gimmick was Ms. Texas. She was the first woman I'd ever seen work a match like the men do. She was strong, athletic-- and she was black. She made me feel a sense of empowerment being successful in a predominantly white industry. Made me feel represented. Fortunately I joined the Navy, and didn't have to put up with all the ailments that wrestlers do. All the respect in the world for them.
best intro music on youtube dont @ me
It's so good , like so so so good
@@JacksonOwex simmer down bud its a joke
Impact still putting on class PPVs every time these days. Nothing will ever replace what classic TNA was though.
Thanks to this series I can't listen to "We didn't start the fire" without singing this intro
The only thing I know Matt Bentley for is V1 absolutely burying him during OSW’s TNA arc. “Matt Bentley, who the FUCK is he?!?!”
Pat Kenney's also the producer of NWA Powerrr
This whole time I had no idea Humberto and Angel were related.
I remember the first time seeing TJP and then making that connection as I owned one of TNA's box sets with Victory Road included.
The ACL being Young's first major injury in his career, by the way.
I know he can't go like he did in the 00s, but damn if Abyss wouldn't be fun to see at least once.
@@JacksonOwex I want Abyss/Joseph Park as 24/7 Champion so bad
Does anyone remember that before this TNA did a One cent pay per view that was a highlight package of what made them different. I remember ordering it and the cable person didn't believe me that it was only a penny.
Do anyone remember the female wrestler Hamada? She was from Japan and wrestled a lucha libre style. Her skills was on another level.
That intro is both cringe worthy and absolutely hilarious at the same time. 😂
All rise for the national anthem.
D-Ray 3K was an Andre 3000 inspired gimmick. We love him.
Have this on DVD, very nostalgic - I must watched that X division Battle Royale dozens and dozens of times
Also funnily enough, when you got to Konnan, I just happened to be doing my best "Konnan on his podcast" impression - taking a massive hit out of a bong and coughing up a lung into the mic
Has anyone ever said that you are Jon Oliver of wrestling info. LOL
I didnt know monty brown was with wwe for a while before.
Alex Shelley has returned since btw and in the current impact world champion
So when is the what happened to every wrestler in the "what happened to that wrestler intro song" list coming?
The TNA reunion show is going to be so good with so many originals like EY and MCMG back home in IMPACT with the potential for guys like Samoa Joe, Daniels and Kaz to show up
Ken Shamrock?
Michael Shane should got a push
rip razor
sadly this did not age well with jeff now in aew and scott hall passing away
Fun fact the guy Miyamoto lost to in his MMA debut is also a former wrestler.........former sumo wrestler Takanofuji. Now going by Tsuyoshi Sudario, he retired from sumo in scandal and has also beaten pro wrestlers Dylan James and Ikuhisa Minowa in MMA bouts since then.
TNA/ NOAH/ ROH from 2002 to 2006 was so spectacular that for me was the best wrestling time >>> I still ❤ 80s and 90s Wrestling.
Isn’t La Parca dead? Are there multiple La Parcas?
I didn’t watch TNA then and don’t now, but I could listen to Panini read a phone book.
sharkboy does not need to wrestle he got a huge amount of money in the sony settlement when they ripped of his gimmick for the movie
Come for the song stay for the content
So... What exactly is in he referring to when he mentions Disco Inferno sharing his "controversial views" on his podcast?
@ 13:50 is when it's said.
I must have missed something but...
What's so controversial about Disco?
Of course, given the state of what some consider "controversial" these days I guess it could be anything but still... Can somebody clue me in here ?
Disco Inferno said the hardest clothesline he ever got was from Jaqueline
Pat Kenny is also EP for NWA Powerrr.
Y’all remember when James storm didn’t work out in wwe?
One televised match against Danny burch
@@paulcarpenter7844 was the match any good?
@@jordancourtney9142 quick but storm looked good not a bloated up its on youtube
As a matter of fact AJ Styles song was supposed to be for James storm
good video
the flyer for the show shown at 6:50 for shark boy i was at. super nice guy meeting in person. its also the same town Monty Brown is from.
D-Rey 3000 is a great guy interviewed him for my podcast Knockoutsand3counts he’s really cool
D-Ray 3000 was a parody of Andre 3000 from the hip hop duo Outkast.
Amazing red was awesome
All I could think of is macho man
🎶What happened to that wrestler?🎶
The formal wwe championship "the brain Kendrick"
You should do a Where Are They Now on WWF/WWE Hall Of Fame
retired lmfao
@@shutupdodo3686 or deceased
Still waiting for "Every Wrestler from this intro ranked from worst to best"
Thanks 👍
How is it possible that James Storm was on NWA a couple of years back if he is still on Impact? They have some deal?
Christopher Daniel is still rocksolid on AEW.
I really hope Miyamoto's opponent in his MMA debut, Sudario, was fined for trying to knock out Miyamoto after Miyamoto had already been knocked out.
RAVEN
Still need a what happened to that wrestler for the what happened to that wrestler intro or full song for that matter
Best. Song. Ever.
I think Laparka passed away
What happened to every wrestler in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic?
U guys had me worried because LA parka passed away last year but it turns out there 2 LA parkas
So Tom Cruise is actually a luchador?... I knew it.
Can’t wait for Samoa Joe to return
04:33 I can't hear that name in any voice other than V1's complete disgust from the OSW TNA arc.
Good to see Hypnosis is doing well
Kevin Nash be in movies like Spider-Man & John Wick
@@JacksonOwex I believe it was the one when peter entered a wrestling tournament & walked passed the guy who killed Ben.
He was in The Punisher not Spider-Man
@@michaelwilburnGBS Indeed he was. Just had a small role 😆
And he was the Super Shredder in TMNT 2 : The Secret Of The Ooze in 1991. I believe that was he first movie appearance
@@franklingoodwin Indeed
I find it crazy that almost everyone in this video still wrestled in some way
Nosawa also books for pro wrestling noah
I liked this video
Love Jacqueline she should rock a bald head and make a comeback as a manager of someone in WWE or AEW
I'm kinda sad that you completely glossed over James Storm having been a multiple title holder in the NWA recently before heading back to Impact...
And HoF
I used to get annoyed about all the Knockouts constantly jobbing to Gail Kim, especially Jacqui Moore.
Gail Kim was the best female wrestler in the company at the time though... Shit probably of all time tbh.
I only watched for Jacqueline and took forever she's the only I cared for 😒
I like this video
I miss Raven
The reason they did ppv programing was cause they didn't have money at the beginning I had know problem paying for it
My cousin worked for Sperry! Just recently but quit because he said he felt spooked at work. He would be alone but always see someone in his peripheral his trainer said it's normal for people's brains to play tricks on them my cousin swears up and down he felt uneasy and he's a pretty bland quirky guy who doesn't believe in shit like that, quick SPERRY story for you.
"alum" is the singular. "alumni" is only the plural form ;p
yes, i'm pedantic.
TNA really started as they went on with trying to get as many wrestlers on every PPV.
Hi
Stacked card
Apollo?
Ross is boss!
Laparka died wtf? Where did this guy get his info?
Puma was good in lucha underground
Ronald Killings went from being the first Black NWA World Champion to wasted in WWE as RTruth…
at his age he is probably happy to still ha ve a job
The Luchador thing is SO stupid!
Can you write a football song in the same style fir the euros. Would love a we didnt start a fire with England stars past and present
Nobody cares about boring 1-0 kickball games.
Unrelated, but can we rank every ECW champion please, lads?!
....ok,no.more.'80s 🎶🎵🎼 for you..!
And people want to say AEW is obsessed with signing old WWE talent when WWE loved signing former TNA talent.
Fair trade considering TNA built its company on former WWE/WCW guys.
Adam isn't even hitting the keys on the keyboard in the intro, such a fraud 🤣🤣
And aew
LOL
