Sometimes the plan of God for us is more apparent in the ones who listen to their hearts. Angelina sings from her heart. She is a blossoming gift to the world and will astound and bless all who hear her amazing voice.
So great to see the people honoring her the way she honors us with her voice and soul. Also reintroducing a forgotten style of music. I hope she experiences all the good that life has to offer her.

Do you know why Angelina Jordan Performs Barefoot? When Angelina was 6 years old, she met a homeless girl around her age in Iran. (Her grandmother is Iranian artist Mery Zamani.) The girl did not have any shoes, and Angelina says her feet were scarred. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes.
According to her website, Angelina then “vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world’s children had them.” She keeps that promise to this day, as she says that little girl “is always in my heart.”

Sometimes she seems disinterested, but she is just so shy at times, but not while singing. Very sweet young lady!
This is precisely why. Angelina is not attached to the stuff of this world. She's not attached to the fame, the wealth, the attention, not even the sights and the travel. Because the moment you're attached to things, you become afraid, worried, wanting, jealous. She's a spirit, and she exists only essentially in the world of form. The moment she loses touch with spirit is the moment she becomes a regular 12-year-old, and her voice loses its soul. I hope she never does, but unfortunately it's part of growing up and learning about the ugly reality of the world. Her mother has done an amazing parenting job so far though. Hopefully Angelina's equipped to transcend the challenges.
