When I dump into my dump trailer, I go in from the back with the doors open. Tip the tote on its face, then lift it off the wood. Then the next tote, I can push the previous wood forward. Repeat as necessary. Makes for easier transfer into the trailer.

Dumping out of those IBC’s are a pain. If this was a regular thing I would make the front opening larger and remove the crossbar and reinstall it halfway back and on top. It keeps the strength with less impediments.

Every piece that is removed weakens the tote more.

I was at a friend's house yesterday cutting oak, and he asked if we could take down a tree. I looked at it, and it was cherry. A beautiful tree. I tried to talk him out of it, but he wanted it down. Score for me. Cherry is my favorite. It's too bad for the beautiful tree. If I didn't get it, someone else would have, so it's stacked in my yard now. Cherry is awesome

I've said it before that it's too bad that my place is so far over here or it would make a great place for working in the spring. I think you might be right about spring lasting 3 months.

I know this sounds crazy, but if Adam is moving out of state, I'm assuming he is not taking his totes with him, but even if he is, why aren't you guys just loading the totes onto the trailer and returning the empty ones on your next trip??? You could haul more wood that way, speed up everything, and and dump them into your cherry bin or where ever In the Woodyard. Better yet, just leave the wood in the totes and replace them with your own empty totes.

    • @adamlink7779

I know you have said what truck you use and hauling your trailers can you tell me again I need to replace my truck but you have to mortgage your house to get one I don't want a 4 door but a 8 foot bed if I got a full size , but yours seems to have no problem thats why I thought about a smaller truck I just can't see 60.000.00 on up to haul wood, I got a call today from a local dealership that said they had just what I needed, reduced price to 74,998.00 I didn't take the savings I could never justify paying that much, I do use it for other things for myself but that is ridiculous. Thanks and take care, by the way I got a beaver hat back in 2022 it better be cold out to wear it but it's definitely warm, thank you.

Found an uprooted cherry about 10" and straight. Made a nice load. Also cut several loads of small dead locust. The cherry you are getting was stacked so pretty, it was almost too pretty to move. Nice score on beautiful wood. Are you required by law to blank out any names or brands on the totes. I just noticed that.

Concrete slab, jersey barrier bins and a skid steer. Wood will be clean and you won't have to handle it nearly as much. Go to a landscape place and you'll see what I mean by looking at the mulch bins and rock bins. Your treating the wood you have the same way. You aren't stacking or covering it so why not just bin it on concrete incased with jersey barriers. Cost? Your back will thankyou and it looks like you have at least some concrete slab to do alittle. Your county highway department may have some old barriers lying around they might part with for next to nothing.
