Watch Father Stu Now: AAN.SonyPicture...
Based on a true story, Father Stu is an unflinchingly honest, funny and ultimately uplifting drama about a lost soul who finds his purpose in a most unexpected place. When an injury ends his amateur boxing career, Stuart Long (Mark Wahlberg) moves to L.A. dreaming of stardom. While scraping by as a supermarket clerk, he meets Carmen (Teresa Ruiz), a Catholic Sunday school teacher who seems immune to his bad-boy charm. Determined to win her over, the longtime agnostic starts going to church to impress her. But surviving a terrible motorcycle accident leaves him wondering if he can use his second chance to help others find their way, leading to the surprising realization that he is meant to be a Catholic priest. Despite a devastating health crisis and the skepticism of Church officials and his estranged parents (Mel Gibson and Jacki Weaver), Stu pursues his vocation with courage and compassion, inspiring not only those closest to him but countless others along the way. - Фільми й анімація
This is one powerful movie scene I've ever seen. Sitting in the movie theater, I had goosebumps watching this. I went home and opened my Bible again for the first time in awhile
Amen 🙏🏼
Hello, I don't remember what motivated me to deepen my faith, something similar to yours happened to me, I realized that 2 things can happen here.
The first is to deepen and learn things from God and Mary that I would never have thought.
The other thing that can happen is simply to get carried away by emotions and forget about faith again.
Despite the little knowledge I have of catechism and theology, I am sure that the old me would shudder with love and anguish for so many things that I would never have imagined in my faith.
God bless you
I saw this on opening day, and it was a really good spiritual experience for me and my family
Amen 🙏
I cried at Mary’s voice and her comforting him
i too loved this scene mary is real amen
Mary will appear to you if u pray the rosary with faith. I Saw her too.
@@priscillamagdaleno9775 really?
@@gc6432 yes , If you r in an emergency she really will
This movie made me a catholic thank you Mark Wahlberg.
Not Mark Wahlberg... thank Jesus Christ
God made you a Catholic
@@wordsoftruth_7 both!
Watching this I lost it
Totally bawling
The lack of spiritual connection that had been lost since my mom died returned
I so wish she could have seen this movie
Our Lady is capable of melting hearts
"He died for you. For Stephen." That's what really broke through to him. His little brother, who's death always had a heavy effect on him. God don't make mistakes.
“Behold, thy mother.”
☦️🙏
The fact that Mary appeared to him❤😢
i know because i believe it to be true and real amen
When I was 4 yrs old I was hit by a car and Mary came to me
@unworthy “ha gotem! don’t play in the street kid”
You serious?
I cry every time I see this. And trust when I say it, I don't cry easy. Not for nothing.
I feel pretty bad for him. I mean hell the accident must extremely painful
got catapulted off that bike. Looks pretty fun.
What is it the Blessed Virgin Mary is saying at 1:47... we're not allowed to hear... but you can see her lips moving... She is saying something, but I cannot discern her words...
maybe God's message to him? and we cannot hear God's voice as humans. just a guess, though either way i still have tears streaming down my face for some reason.
@@baxattax6653 Absolutely correct - God's messages do not come in spoken form, at least not human language
"Behold thy mother"
"You tell your Son, if he wants to show me hell, I ain't afraid of a little fire."
This scene really had an effect on me.
Beautiful blessed mother and one very cold doctor.
He must be the chosen one if he can see maria
Small chronological error, the truck that runs over Father Stu looks to be a 1997 or 1998 Ford F150. I believe the accident happened in the late 1970s or early 80s..
Is that important?...
@@wordsoftruth_7for car guys like me usually yes. But this scene is so powerful that no, not really important.
How did he survive that I’m really though he dies no way many years people survive bike crashes
Mary healed him and said he won't die, she also called him to Jesus.
That's how he didn't die❤
its so beautiful@@annastasia248
Beautifully done. Felt it😢

Mother Mary appeared to him.
I screamed the moment that car squished Father Stu like there's no tomorrow.
Those unintelligible words she uttered as he's fading.. Leave it up to the audience to interpret, making it personal for everyone watching. I know what I wanted to hear
What was the song playing?
I'm trying to figure out the same damn thing
@@yesdniloniarip9388 thank you very much for the song name 🙏🏻
What is the song though???
Pure love
why not show the scene immediately before, where a man whom is meant to be like Jesus talks to him in a bar and exchanges a couple very powerful lines leading into this scene right here.
giggity
Song?

Well in real life God would never want you to be a Roman Catholic priest. Roman catholicism he is against the bible and what God says about idolatry, necromancy and much more. Roman catholicism teaches people lies and also Mary is now having her rest with God and no one can speak to her and she is not on the same level as God.
Check out Catholic Answers
Nobody knows what God would want, that's human arrogance. The rest of your comment is ignorance but ignorance can be overcome, another comment gave you a good place to start. Btw, you said real life but the movie is based on actual facts so...Regards
If Jesus didn't start the Holy Catholic Church then we are all still lost to sin, and us Christians should be pitied above all others.
Father Stu lived an undeniably heroic life, and that is only because he gave himself over to the Church. There are countless others that have the same story, the Church pulled them out from the depths.
The Church is a hospital for the most spiritually sick, Christ is the only Doctor we have and the only one we need. His priest's are like His nurses, handing out the medicine to the sick patients that Our Divine Physician Jesus has prescribed for us.

Tell me you're not Catholic without saying you're not Catholic. You've never been one and cannot know what one is, but it sure as Hell is easy to be a parrot and repeat everything you hear from other idiots.
awesome scene in what I'd otherwise call FATHER SNOOZE. my man got bodied. god isnt real
