A budget option in place of Zeus to consider might be Adamancipator Risen Dragite. Because the main decks are all water attribute, they let Dragite stand as a spell/trap negate. A side tech that would also be nice for going second is Chaos Hunter, since it shuts down your opponent banishing your guys from the grave, but still lets the dark ship go off.
An interesting little engine is the rescue ace Impulse and rescue ace fire attacker because it leads to making ships on turn 0 if you discard whitebeard

I run 1 fire, earth, light, dark Kaiju so I can give my opponents attributes that I would need. And I play 3 slumber. Imo play that or 3 Kaiju, 2 slumber
i'm testing a list with kaiju in the main (also with the spell), only 6 slot for ht but it's really fun and i know what i have to side when i go first xD
I was building that variant, and I tested a lot with it but I found that the Kaijus were not good enough game 1 and I always felt like I was on the back foot, but when I knew I was going 2nd I felt great

Ive gotta do some research on this! If there's another consistent way to make ships that gives other interruptions I'm interested!

Runick + plunder is really good! So much draw power which fuels your plunder effects! I don't own a runick core, but id play runick plunder if I could

I play a going second kaiju build of plunder patroll.
That was an option for me as well and is a great variant! Just prefer options to going first or second with this list!
I went with it because it's pretty much as good as the adventure plunder patroll but it's cheaper.
