No it isn’t, it tt2 was themed then Rita and stealth would be aswell, there may be a soundtrack and themed station and train, but the flags aren’t enough theming, top thrill doesn’t really have a backstory either there’s no centrepiece like on nemesis the creature or wickerman the big man and smiler has the marmalizer, it needs a lot of theming items not just some flags
@Greyhoundguy219 both of those attractions are themed in the technical sense. I'd say for tt2 specifically the stands to the right of the launch could count as it's "theming peice". Does that make it a well themed ride. I don't think so, but just because it's not well themed doesn't mean it's not themed. Another example of this is Superman at Six Flags New England. It has cutouts for it's theming elements but it's still technically themed.
@@ScoopWhatsthe What this video is explaining is the difference between stylized and themed, Basically, Small theming = Stylized, Lots of theming = Themed, Examples of the difference between themed and stylized. Nemesis Reborn = Themed, Its heavily themed with its station and eye, And a intriguing Backstory. Hyperia = Stylized, It has a bit of theming and has a backstory with its wings, However its not as much as nemesis.
@ No, I understand what’s being brought to the table. It’s presented in a manor where “Stylized” rides aren’t themed at all. Honestly I’d break it up even further though. Three different categories. Stylized, Themed, and immersive. Stylized being something like Fury 325, Themed being something like Diamondback or Alpengeist, and then immersive would be your F.L.Y. Or Cosmic Rewind ect.
I think the word "theme" gets tossed around a lot in the coaster/theme park realm. Sometimes coasters have a theme but not necessarily a ton of scenic pieces, vice versa, sometimes a coaster is quite stylized but doesn't necessarily add up to anything. Alton Towers has a good mix of the two with many of their coasters
The containers have videos and audio playing from them, it acts as a pre show giving you a backstory of what’s happening, as its audio telling you about nemesis, only difference is you aren’t all put inside a room to watch it. (Like on wickerman)
Personally I feel like styled rides are more for the experience. Like I've ridden practically all coasters in the UK and some in Belgium and ride's like Ride To Happiness is themed and focused on the layout while we have some themed rides that don't really do much
I think the Smiler has decent theming, and haven't even been there anytime. That being stated, I do have a rough Image of it based on publicly shown pictures an onride Videos.
uh yk how there's literally a soundtrack playing around the entire ride area and the giant Marmaliser that the ride interacts with multiple times. also the station despite not being themed to the level of nemesis reborn still has the two lamp props which fit the medical aspect of the ride's theming. There is also a backstory as alton towers released a 4 part series on youtube called smile always which you can still check out
Really enjoyed this video, I find the distinction a really interesting topic!
glad you enjoyed it :)
colossus looks like a fully themed experience in comparison to hyperia ☠️
loved the video btw :)
at this point wacky worms have more theming compared to hyperia 😭😭
as much as colossus isnt my favourite coaster i do think it looks really well presented
Top thrill 2 it themed then: soundtrack, themed: station, train and it has the flags for theming peices, it even has themed track

Also, some people say "theming" when they really mean "landscaping"

@Greyhoundguy219 ok i thought they meant the lights in the station

Smiler is poorly themed.
