    My wife and I have been married 45 years and we have moved 34 times. Crazy. Decided that if we were going to move again, it was gonna be in a motorhome full-time. We bought a 1997 Beaver Patriot Camden. Thank you so much for your videos. They are so helpful. I’m gonna go up on the roof today and seal it just like you did.
    You suggested waxing the roof also. Do you recommend a particular wax to use on The Beaver? It’s kind of cluttered up there with nine solar panels, two air conditioners and two roof vents. I just can’t say thank you enough.

    Hi James. Thank u for the varied content u provide. I have a question that's been bugging me for a while regarding the use of Dicor. I've seen/heard u saying something about that it doesn't like silicone based sealant & vice-versa. Also that u don't like it because it cracks over time. I'm ready to fix a leak on my fiberglass roof (cracked sealant). After the proper cleaning, should I use silicone or something else?

    I have learned a great deal watching your very informative videos and you have saved me nearly $1,000 if not more by doing many things myself. I have a 2006 Beaver and the roof still looks like new, do you recommend or have you found a product(s) that works longer in the sun. I live in Florida, so the sun issue should be the same as in Arizona. Is 303 a good option for roof protection or should it be a wax? Are ceramic coatings better than regular wax? Any brands you found that last longer than others?

    We are seeing contradicting videos where techs are using different sealers on fiberglass rv roofs. You have said not to use dicor on Winnebago fiberglass roof, that self leveling silocone is the correct sealant. Your using dicor on this fiberglass roof. What is the difference with this FB roof ? is it due to what sealant the mfgr used originally? your vids are great, thank you

    • @AZExpert
      @AZExpert  2 роки тому

      Fiberglass does not determine the sealant. Winnebago and Tiffin use self leveling silicone, Newmar used Dicor. So the existing sealant determines the sealant to use

    Thanks for the sealant refresher. 😀 For some reason the finished shot of the skylight looked like a nice decorated frosted pastry to me, lol.
    You said you generally don’t like using butyl tape for underneath the skylight trim to seal it, cause you said it doesn’t compress all that great with the screws, I believe manufactures say to use butyl when installing a diy skylight replacement, so what would you use instead of butyl? Cheers 🍻

    • @AZExpert

      many skylights come with a tube of butyl sealant which does compress nicely. I use 100% silicone on Winnebago's fiberglass roof.
