    I'm not in the landscaping business. I sell retractable awnings. I sell a boat load of them. I'm a very confident and extremely knowledgeable sales person. However, I know where your coming from. I'm scared to death to ask more for my awnings. I heavily discount my awnings. Its God send YT put this video up my way. I'm taking your course. I'm sure there are more pearls there that will benefit me. Also, I was taught when working in a grocery store in HS to work smarter NOT harder. I have to get back into that mind set. Mucho Thanks...😊

    My husband and I have been at this since the end of February. We have had non stop work all the month of March and the first week of April but our prices were not what they should be. Last week we decided to quote what the work is actually worth and we have had 2 rejections back to back... it has been tough and very discouraging but seeing your videos keeps me going and i keep telling my husband to keep his head high!! We arent even close to hitting our goal for this month with only one big job confirmed..

    My business partner is against getting information like the knowledge and lessons from your videos. I've informed him that your videos have already saved us time and money . I'm wondering if I leave this unchecked it's going to be a problem down the road , or do I let him make these mistakes and learn the hard way . Man it's hard having your dreams and aspirations in somebody else's hands .

      What do you mean pricing out of your pockets? I may be able to help

    • @Bella7274z1q
      @Bella7274z1q 3 роки тому +1

      @@BabashiSensei pricing out of your pocket is a sales term. Some people give their customers prices based on what they would pay and not based on what the customer will pay. When this happens you usually price way under what the job is actually worth. Because let’s be real, we are all looking for that great deal.

    • @BabashiSensei
      @BabashiSensei 3 роки тому +3

      @@Bella7274z1q ohhh yeah, I understand I've owned my company for almost 2 years now and I can honestly tell you bro that if your not making atleast $50 per man hour it's not worth it. I do $80 per man hour. Some people even do up to $120 per man hour. You have to know your worth also if a customer is haggling with you it's not worth it just find another customer. I hope this helps!

    I quote out $1,000 Per hour, per truck for commercial snow removal. And that’s relative to inflation in 2021. Plus ice-melt, plus 5,000% markup on Ice-melt. And Apartment complexes are okay with paying me that kind of money.

    I just finished my first hardscaping job a few weeks ago. I definitely undercharged the customer and paid my buddy too much to help me out. I was still able to make a profit, but not nearly as much as I could've. Luckily the same customer wants a lot more work done when the weather gets nicer and I will definitely charge what I know my work is worth the next time around.

    I grew up in a large family, always hearing my dad say how expensive things are. That carried over in my business. I always wanted to do the job as cheap as possible and with that comes stress. U never make a profit if u don't plan for a profit. Estimate ur job to make a profit, not to be the cheapest guy in town. Thanks Keith, words of encouragement.

    Thank you Keith, you’ve always had your own style to your videos, you talk about what a lot of us think and go through in our heads, you touch on things nobody else does, and that’s why you have such a dedicated following. Your naturally inspiring and you alway provide so much useful information, emphasis on the useful. Sure we all like the crazy kalfas, because you are one of the funniest guys around, but you prob should try to hold back on the swearing. Just for your own sake. You may offend someone by swearing but you won’t offend anyone by not swearing. It’s a win win. Good luck to ya brotha.

    The abundant mindset, love it. This relates to me I found that when I first started I was priced way too low: result I had customers that one they could low ball me and use me. I've gained the confidence to close at about a 40 percent rate with higher prices and realize my customers actually value our efforts now.

    Thanks Keith. It's been a while since I commented but I remember the cussing rants. I'd say better without. Leave that to Gary Vee 😜 I started my Landscaping business and that's how I found you years ago I binge watched it listened as I mowed here in NC. My mind too began thinking about greater things and changing my mindset over to crushing it. I quit my job in NASCAR since I'd built my business enough to pay the bills. I started a UA-cam show and went from 12 subs to over 3500, and got into radio as well. Not saying I should do so many things all over the place but sometimes you have to, to learn what direction works the best. I have trouble with having Lazer focus as they say, to perfect one thing at a time. I'm all over the place and I know that's kept me from multiplying my income. I should go back and re-watch your organizational videos I suppose. Thanks for the help along the way.

    I never flat bid on work other than mowing and spraying. I sell my per man hour rate that way you never guess on the time a job might take. I give them a guesstimate but the bill will reflect time spent plus any hauling fees plus the time to the dump

    Keith, I was once told that cussing is a weak mind trying to express itself forcefully. I very rarely cuss and when I am with a quote if the person is cussing I will walk away from the job. Don't start cussing just to cuss. Also with all this info you are sharing you should write a book about your first year in the landscaping business. I bet it will be a god book. lol

    6 out of 10.
    There are customers that would NEVER pay $150 for a job that another customer would happily pay $1500. I have seen it. There are service providers for every level of customer. Important to define your ideal customer. I personally, like the middle customer. I stay away from anyone that says "well, I know you said two to three hundred, but can you do it for $175?" My goal is to get those people off my phone as fast as possible. On another note, really really rich people make me nervous, so I stay away from them as well.
    Carpet cleaning. I get lots of little nuggets from your videos though. Thanks.

    To me, you don't know if your prices are too high unless you try. Worst case... they ARE too high, you don't get customers with those prices, and you slowly bring em down until you find where the bar should be. The very worst thing that can happen is customers say no.
