In all seriousness, Pat's problem where he forgets words in one language is not uncommon in people who know more than one language.

+SorakuFett I tend to forgot words in French now that I speak a lot of English, it's the worst

+SorakuFett I know the problem man. Always tend to forget Polish words and just use english.

      OMG! THAT IS SO TRUE!
I just got through Spanish and (being from a German and Italian family), kept getting words confused so much, I thought I was just having brain problems left and right.

gets progressively worse if you use more than 2 languages. When i try to speak polish, forget word or two - insert english.
When i try to speak russian and forget a word or two - insert polish.
When i try to speak german and forget a word or two - insert russian.
      There is no winning.

Speaking French then switching to English for words you don't know is very common here in New Brunswick, We refer to it as "Chiac"

I always love hearing them speak french randomly. The quebec accent and the language-mixing habits they describe here are just weirdly satisfying to me.

I'm from France and I love when they speak French because they have that Quebecois accent and it's pretty funny because all non-French speaker I hear go for the France accent.

Heavily anglicized french is one of my favourite things to hear, because for some god-forsaken reason, i was always taught French with the most pretentious ass accent. my girlfriend was put through french immersion and has a more english accent than i do when speaking

    • @ObiTrev

Well, it doesn't help that many US schools teach bastardized Spark Notes Spanish, which takes the most common (or simplest) words from all dialects, but it's linguistically wrong and irritating for native speakers to hear. Also, the most common Spanish in the US is a derivative of Mexican Spanish, which has picked up a lot of non-standard slang ad grammar in it.
I had a teacher in middle school who actually taught proper Castillian Spanish, but in high school Castillian would have given you a D grade in their Spanish classes. US Schools don't care about being correct by either official or local standards, and it's a detriment to the student.Gordinaus Lupenington de Loccia

that's because you only use french in Quebec, it's just not worth wasting your time learning a language that so few use, not to mention that people in other french speaking countries don't like Quebec french and would rather speak English.

Ambrose Fogarty Some easterners just don't like Albertans, probably because they aren't a welfare province and have to support half of Canada with equilization payments. I've never even heard one brag about it, it's always the east shitting on them like they're jealous or something.
