Paulie was a much hyped and celebrated trash fighter who shouldn't have adopted that stage name, their clearly was nothing magical about him, quite the contrary actually,..but be that as it may, he tried but couldn't overcome not only the power gap but skill wise, was lacking big time as well as he was easily hit. We still salute him because he had the balls to get in the ring and get his ass beat down.

@@AlmightyAnt300 exactly. He had no business fighting any top fighters. He’s so basic all he ever did was check hook, throw weak 1-2’s and try to survive and still talks trash like he could ever back it up. Very unprofessional couldn’t even go to the weigh in for bare knuckle boxing without slapping his opponent in the face and telling him to suck his d lol. Typical 🤡

I watched this fight back in the day because it was a Cotto fight. I, like about a million other people came away a Malignaggi fan afterwards. I never missed a Paulie fight for the rest of his career, I loved his honesty, his heart and his skills during the ups and downs. I followed him around in his commentary work when I could as I reckoned he was one of the greatest boxer-turned-commentators ever(along with Roy Jones, Barry Jones and Jim Watt) and eventually found him again on YT with Paulie TV and ProBoxTV. Total legend and a boon to boxing fans that know the truth when they see and hear it. Respect.

Floyd had a massive fan base that went to see him lose. Paulie is an ok dude, those guys from New Jersey or New York they have a bit of an attitude, I really like his announcing too he's one of the few guys I like Algerie, Mannix is ok I just love the sport it's a dance mixed with hand eye coordination and a massive mental war like chess in that ring, what move to make, what move to counter move his moves, footwork, watching to pick up predictable habits. Anyway rant over LOL

One of the telltale signs of being a good story teller. You feel yourself getting more and more nervous as the story goes on. Also, with all due respect, Paulie got hit plenty. He fought like he did because like the brawler, he didn't have a choice. He didn't have the power to keep someone off of him. Fortunately he did have the skill to fight like he did. I liked it when Floyd praised him for winning two world titles while having below average power. He boxed the ears off the Ukrainian guy for his WW title. The guy was so outclassed they had to stop it power or no power

I like Paulie, he's honest, but he was clinching basically with his face up front and Cotto was turning his face away which puts the top of his head closer to Paulie's face. It is sad that it happened that early in the fight but i do not think it was intentional. If you go watch some other Cotto's fights you'll see he got cut himself due to others headbutts and i think it was a normal response due to that. But i also wouldnt bet against that it could have been intentional, i just doubt it.

Hey Paulie made it compared to all the other guys out there, if you're a REAL BOXING FAN, then you will respect ANY MAN or WOMAN who steps in that ring and trains all the time just to get hit in the face for our entertainment, so even the bad fighters with losses respect those guys because they are doing more then 99.9% of the world population im boxing. So all you haters out there I challenge you to do a professional boxer training for 2 weeks and post a video and you'll see how ALL these fighters should be respected. Have a great weekend boxing and fight fans, love ya'll! If you want to make a LOT of money hurry up and buy GameStop shares or AMC movie theatre shares because they are about to short squeeze like Volkswagen did in 2008 and for a couple days Volkswagen was the richest company in the world and the same thing is about to happen to GameStop mostly, and AMC is going to do 2nd place no doubt!!! HURRY WITHIN 40 DAYS ITS HAPPENING WE HAVE ALL BEEN IN THE PLAY BUYING HOLDING ITS AN AMERICAN RETAIL INVESTORS FIGHT AGAINST THE ELITE RICH AND THEY HAVE NEVER LOST BUT THEY ARE ABOUT TO FINALLY TAKE A LOSS!!!
