- Let's take a look at the permanent drain line system I built back in May 2024 - the basic setup, how it works, and what's next. It's all about simplifying the water change process.
I want to take a moment to thank all of my channel members who get first dibs on this video. Thank you!

can't wait to see how you put it together
I'm waiting for the rest of the parts. I ordered all the fittings from Home Depot instead of having to go to multiple stores.
Toast is sick a great idea Ron. I’d love to set something up like that one day. Make multiple water changes easy.
I'm hoping so, Gaberial. I'm just waiting to the rest of the parts to get delivered.
Interesting system, hope it works well for you.
The current one works great and is such a time saver. I'm thinking the new one for the rack should be a huge time saver as well. We shall see! Thanks, Ben!
Blake's Aquatics has his small tanks set up with a permanent drain on the last tank, with permanent syphon inbetween each tank so they all drain and fill together. I think that your way is better.
@@Gilsfishroom I saw Blake's, I guess a few months back. Thanks, Gil.
Why would I need a drain line? Because I don't want to haul buckets!! Using the wastewater to grow terrestrial plants in the yard or garden seems to be all the rage these days. Saves on fertilizers, and water! I like how Ron charged his line with reverse flow; he doesn't suck, lol. I watched Arian's video already, and maybe someday soon I'll be able to work with irrigation pipe (low density poly).
We'll see just how it works out for 9 tanks all on the same line. Working with the poly pipe and fittings is really a breeze. I think you'd have a blast with it. With the right fittings, it gives a lot of flexibility.
Looking great Ron thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks, Jeff. Most of the parts are in. It should be a fun project!
Can you add pricing as well?
For the upcoming video? Yes. But that'll vary greatly depending on stuff.
nice Ron I'll be watching, water temp, is that a big deal because of the mixing of the waters? Thank You lol brain fart
I'm gonna say no. I usually refill my tanks from the garden hose. So when I do water changes, I drain all of the tanks down to my typical levels then refill them. After they've all been refilled, then I go around and dose them with the dechlorinator. And consider the cold water influx can trigger spawns in some fish.
@garageaquatics2023 ok never thought about the spawn thing
Wazz up! Replay
