Growing up my mother always put egg shells in a gallon jug of water to water her plants and they were large and healthy. Now I make egg shell water for my house plants and they are lush and healthy. No store bought fertiliers.

wildbeast Gaming I put them in the water in an old jug and after the water has sat for a few days I use the water only to feed my plants once a month. The egg shells attract gnats if you leave them in the soil. On Instagram page you can see some of my houseplants if you scroll down. Marygcb5. I hope this helps.

I do the same but I take it up a notch and make my own liquid fertilizer essentially you take a bunch of plant clippings lawn clippings etc and chuck em in a bucke a bit more than half of the way and fill the rest with water and let it sit for a minimum of 3 weeks to let it really break down this in turn gives you a super potent all natural plant fertilizer rich in nitrogen and other essential nutrients it also depends on what you chuck In the bucket but just a bit of that diluted with lots of rainwater and you got the most beautiful lush plants you've ever seen I also can't understate how much you gotta dilute this liquid as it's so potent i use around 10 parts rainwater to 1 part fertilizer and it just keeps on getting stronger the more it sits

I throw egg shells, coffee ground, tea bags and all fruit and vegetable scraps on my compost pile.
From there it all goes into my garden. Soil is extremely rich and full of worms. Plus, as added bonus I get all kinds of "volunteer" seedlings popping up. Nice surprises...Once they are of good size, I transplant them. I have many peach, cherry, apricot, pear, apple, citrus, avocado, papaya, etc trees that all started this way.

I did a search to see if I could put the shells on my plants without hurting them. That is how I found your video. I remember as a child, my mom put eggshells and used coffee grounds on her flowers. They always looked great. You're right, cameras do not do justice to the beauty in nature...and there is no scent like that of blooming citrus.

Hello leadfarmer73. Thank you for sharing "my secret ". "Super Citrus"! Which is what I want for my two lemon trees, and to avoid the use of chemicals. I have one lemon tree that I purchased from a small garden store and the other lemon tree from Home Depot, this is the lemon tree that is growing lemons, but a few of leaves are a light green in color, with a few yellow leaves. The other lemon tree has a deep dark green color and has not grown lemons, and it is so pretty. I have the trees planted in planter pots. I am from Napa California, both trees from California. Currently residing in Indiana. I also use rain water and during the winter months I bring the trees indoors.
I have also replanted the lemon tree that is growing lemons with the light green leaves. I will cut down on the watering.
I have baked my egg shells. Like to know, do you recommend Starbucks Decaf Expresso, Dark Roast, 100% Arabica Coffee? I don't drink coffee. Can I grind the coffee and add to my lemon trees ?
    Cheers!

Rain water is great. I set up about 12 rain water collection barrels at my house a few years ago, and the garden looking so much better now that we primarily use rainwater. It was definitely worth the 300 bucks or so it took to set them all set up. I grow a lot of acid-loving plants like strawberries and I've just started on citrus, which also like pH < 7 soil, and rain water helps keep the soil pH low.

Well this is what they did. They used everything that they could to fertilize their crops. They used scraps of food like fish, they used poop, you name it they used it. It has been working for hundreds of years but folks just forgot about it because chemicals are so easy to find and use.

Promised Land Heirlooms thank you very much my friend. It just plain ole works! People have been doing this kind of thing for ages and everybody think that it's some new trend. I'm just doing what our elders did that's all. Simple but super effective.

Thank you for this information. I have lemon, lime, kumquat, orange, and mandarine trees. I have fertilized and every year only get a few fruit. I am going to use your method and see what happens. My guess is that I get more blooms and fruit! I really appreciate your help!!

While watching the video, I felt like a little kid again being told a story. He has such a love for his citrus. I will try the eggshell/coffee grinds for my Meyer Lemon Tree. And I will subscribe.
