This demo exactly shows my experience. It is really hard to get the big hooks of the back-rest round the bars in the seat section. it seems impossible because of the sticking-out bit in the centre, and only brute force, plus doing one side at a time, will do it. This video helped me not despair and go back to the shop. The instruction leaflet says nothing about this.
Didn"t get it first of all and like you, I switched off the video.But I did persevere and came up thrumps. It was just a matter of puttien the two parts flat on the floor as instructed and with force click into place. Worked a treat!!
Hello I think you have installed it wrong in your car. The diagonal part of the seatbelt should be going on the shoulder/headrest part marked with a red tab. Also, lap part of the seatbelt hooks on the underside of the arm rest.

How do you tighten the straps??
There's a little metal clip/switch thing near groin attachment. Press it in and pull lose strap you can see.

I think you have installed it wrong in your car.
