You can put this into a search mode too, and just press the off button until the TV turns off and set with Setup. Its actually in the manual how to do that.

Lol thanks, after reading the instructions and it not working for me. I came straight here. The new remote works now :)
(However I found lots of stuff this remote can’t do, like channel lists, changing the source, seeing what else is on whilst watching a channel, plus the program and volume buttons are the other way around to what I’m used to. (But none of this has to do with the video lol

Has anyone managed to configure the 'APPS' button? It's the only one that doesn't work for me. I don't have the original remote to do the learning copy function.
Best strategy is to either contact One For All support and ask them for the advanced codes of the missing functions, or borrow an older, easier-to-program OFA remote that can be used as a substitute for the original remote during the code learning process.
One For All also sell replacement remotes that are pre-programmed to 100% replace the original remote for popular TV brands; so one of those can also substitute for the original remote for the code learning function. (It's a little-known fact that even these pre-programmed replacement remotes also include most of the same features as the universal remotes, including code learning from other remotes)

1) it didn’t make it clear in the instructions that the ‘set up’ button and the power light needed were on the remote not the tv DOH.
2) also from the instructions I was expecting to see on screen the entry of the code. DOH.
My son was waiting for the phone call for help but I was able to send him a short video of the tv working.👍

Try different codes for your tv manufacturer, mine was not the first one that worked properly.
This works but the remote only turn on and of all the other buttons won't work!

One For All is an extremely versatile universal remote. It can program any function onto any button, it can send any arbitrary function not (yet) programmed onto a button ([Setup], then a 5-digit code), it can record and playback macros, the keypad can be shifted (using the [Setup] button) to program a secondary function onto any non-numeric button, and it can be programmed externally by using the 6-pin header inside the battery compartment. Many of them also support learning functions from other remote controls.
In the interests of simplicity, most of these advanced features are undocumented, but they are present and have been supported by every One For All universal remote produced over the last 20 or so years. They're so good, I wouldn't touch any other brand of universal remote.
How do you program the 'APPS' button to open the apps menu? I've tried configuring it by using my smartphone remote app, but does it need the original remote? I don't have the original remote, only the one for all remote.
@@cloudsurfing3900 you can use "advances setup codes". On earlier versions of OFA, pressing [Magic] (or [Setup]) followed by a three-digit number from 000 to 255 would send a raw IR command to the device. Doing this enough times would then allow _all_ of the functions of the device to be mapped out.
Once all of the functions of interest have been discovered, the "Key Mover" function (long-press [Magic], 994, {Device key to move from}, [Magic], {advanced code of desired function}, {Device key to move to}, {Destination key}) is used to program them to the desired keys.
Newer versions use the same technique, except the advanced codes are now 5 digits long (probably ranging from 00000 to 65535) and are scrambled to obscure the raw command actually being sent, so the recommended procedure now is to contact OFA support and ask them for the advanced codes for the functions you want to program.
