I love that road, before I knew anything about it's reputation I always used to go 'wow' when I reached that stretch of road. It's just before arriving at Greolieres, my favourite flying site in the World. (I've flown 70+ locations.)
And yes, considerable swearing on that flight, I had one small collapse in the air, and then to that was quite a scary landing. The site guide warns that it's bad in West wind. A bit later a bloke messed up and was taken away in an ambulance!
