    I'm Korean😃 I enjoyed watching a video that popped up on my feed by chance. Thank you for loving Korean language studies😍 It might be challenging for foreigners to learn Korean for the first time. I believe it's most important not to just study from books but to watch videos and speak a lot😆😆😆

      that’s great to hear! sometimes just the peak of interest can be what starts you on the track of fully learning a language, then finding yourself fully diving into language schools and buying flight tickets hahah it really is a great experience I recommend to anyone interested, it was a life-changer for me for sure

    For a long time, people have asked me to make a video about the language programs/language schools I attended, and how I came to know these schools and how they helped my Korean, so I’ve finally sat down and made a video detailing bits and pieces of the previous years of my experience in language school. Also, if you yourself are interested in going to these kind of language schools or programs as well, I have details shared in the video of how to get started and where to look for more info! I put some links in the description of the video for some schools I believe in, so if you are interested, I hope you can take some time to take a look at those.
    If you have any questions about these schools or Korean Language learning, please feel free to leave a comment and I’ll get back to you with some help or my best advice! Let me know how you learn Korean now, and what your ideal way of learning Korean would be. I hope you enjoy the video, and thank you always for takin’ the time to watch. :-)

      korean people are definitely very diverse, tons of introverts, extroverts, and people somewhere in the middle (like me hahah) but something great about korea as a country is there is a lot more facilities and options for introverted people to enjoy themselve in contrast to america (from my experience). lots of solo eating places, pc cafes, tons of hiking spots in the middle of the city, and a very walkable city at that! I lean more towards introverted and I find it great here, but extroverted people also love tons of things here too :-)

I was so aware all the time of behaving good fallow the rules don’t do anything disrespectful cuz they look very strict specially ppl over 40 Although they were Koreans that got out their way to help me which it was nice I always say “ their serious but they’re nice “ I love the states 🤣 I live close to the border I’m introvert but I love to go n see ppl having fun , hope I’ll get more of the Korean society and discover more soon !!

I understand that it is the best way but also in level 1? Because how am I supposed to understand the class or read the book if i cannot speak, read or understand any korean?🥲

    • @marlonaleister
      @marlonaleister  5 місяців тому +3

      I have, and that feels like it could be a whoooole video on it’s own, but to summarize, it’s really tough. The hardest portion for me was writing the first time I took it, then reading the second time. I asked other people that took those same tests, and they agreed with me; the tests always change and the difficulties shift from subject to subject so it’s hard to say what to “focus” on. In general, I didn’t have any TOPIK classes or books I used, just my own studying + language schools. Luckily, the language school tests are very similarly structured to TOPIK, so I had a slight advantage there. I’ve got soooo much more to say, but typin’ aint fun hahah maybe in another video :-)

    So how does this work? Day 1 - You don’t understand a word of the language you’re studying. How do you even learn to ask questions or to say you don’t understand? There must be some study in English/Korean texts outside of class, right? Can’t ALL be immersion. Alphabet, basic phrases for clarity… even to register you need to know some Korean, right?

    • @marlonaleister
      @marlonaleister  5 місяців тому +1

      Theres a lot that goes into it, but it really is mostly immersion. Before level 1, there are classes to learn how to read Korean Hangul which is the alphabet, but that really doesn’t take a long time to learn. I was also surprised to see no English at all in my books, but really, that’s how it goes, and here I am speakin Korean comfortably! These schools have decades of practice and cirriculum building, they have a ton of success, look into them! It really is surprising and a great program to enroll in. :-)
      Also, you don’t need to know any Korean to apply; I knew no Korean when applying. Typically the language schools have representatives for bigger languages like English, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish in their enrollment staff to help with admissions and visa issues. :-)
