  • Giacomo Casanova was born in Venice in 1725, to poor parents. Initially, he is expected to become a priest, but he is ultimately going to reject this career path. His destiny is governed by the love of women, and he challenges the most powerful institutions of his time: the Catholic Church and the Venetian Inquisition. For Casanova, life in decadent Venice is an on-going feast for the senses.

    Casanova was a grand seducer but also conman and actor and dreamed of being a nobleman and through his spiel managed to meet and befriend people of aristocracy and seduced many women in these circles. To a successful degree, his thing worked. That's what made him a world phenomenon. The son of an actress, he made his life the stage, chose the play and played his role.

    You know the difference between Caesar & Cassanova,
    Caesar: I came, I saw, I conquered,
    Cassanova: I saw, I conquered, I came,

    This informative and entertaining documentary provides a welcome dramatic account to written accounts of this fascinating man. He was definitely a rogue and a naughty boy but I can’t help myself falling in love with him. 😊

    I guess the deepest emptiness and unsafe in the soul/inner world drives him to behave crazily and dramatically. His turning point happens in this childhood experience of being locked in the dark box, which ignites his original desire of surviving, like a man unable to swim sinking in the river, dispersedly to grab whatever he can... In childhood, after just out of the dark box, he occupied himself with the knowledge to expel the emptiness and unsafe. Later, growing up, surrender to the affection/love to verify his own existence in life. Most time, the supper extrovert are those who are weak, empty, and unsafe inside... Have to rely on the outside's response, and identify to ensure their own existence.: people who are lost, or Never stand up for their own.

    Differences where that sinatra father lived a long life unlike casanova father,
    In sinatra time, existed hotels;
    casanova go to war in Greece mostly, unlike sinatra who was not draft in ww2 because of perforated eardrum by the use of forceps and being an man with a lot of family, and while sinatra had an pierced ear and scratch that named him scarface until his death and probably lived with a time when tuberculosis, smallpox, flus, and polio were recorrent in babies or childrens, casanova suffered nosebleeds and in an time when unborn dead babies, small pox, tuberculosis, plagues were recorrent and very frequent in his century which explains the high cause of mortality unf...
