There is most definitely a hungry audience waiting to discover and rediscover this monumental movie. I've waited for decades and will eagerly snap up a copy to satisfy this hunger. Please release it (again). Many thanks to all for creating it in the first place!
Absolutely love the collection of videos. Still have them on VHS. Had an enormous impact on my young self. Would be fantastic to have them re-scanned for hi-res streaming and Blu-ray! Probably have seven different editions of the Infected LP and CD too. Will always be part of the soundtrack to my life.
I was 15 when I luckily just happened to catch the "after the break, we at Channel 4 are proud to present The The Infected" as I was about to switch the tele off. I already owned copies of Soul Mining (the tape version with the refugees from Pornography Of Despair on it.......seriously Matt please re release this) and Infected, but this was a bolt from the Blue. The media such as it was in the 80s, meant that I didn't even know what Matt looked like, but my young mind was utterly blown away. I later managed to find a VHS copy of it, probably in Our Price or some such, and I must have watched it 500 times. I think I still have it somewhere. The The were such an integral part of the soundscape of my youth.
'Infected' is and always will be my favourite album of all time. These videos played a huge part in my love for that album. Thank you Matt Johnson. ❤🎸✌
Yip, I've went through two VHS, two cassette and one CD version of Infected. The Glasgow Barrowland gig on the Infected tour remains the best gig, bar none, that I ever went to...lifelong fan of TheThe... And, if nothing else, gave me my lifelong ambition, unrealised as yet, of waking up in a Bolivian who rehouse, empty bottle of tequila in my filthy paw, and my wallet gone... Great days, great days...
Absolutely brilliant album. I picked it up on vinyl randomly at some kind of second hand shop in 2001 because I felt like I had heard about The The somewhere. I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to it but it always takes me to a unique place that no other album does. Truly a masterpiece.
I had Soul Mining first and loved it., then this turned up in my life and I was hooked! Fast forward to Mind Bomb, Matt was a visionary from the get go! A few years ago I managed to catch up with the band for the first time in Birmingham in concert and it was still as strong and powerful all those years after the albums... Pure genius and a humble man and so underrated as an artist, but not in my house!!!
INFECTED...... One of my top 5 albums ever , Amazing album videos to go with it to totally groundbreaking wish the 8 videos where released on DVD, Maybe one day i hope,

Great album 💿 and saw the tour in Montreal when I just moved there from Perú , thank you for your amazing music and talent 🙏🏻 I follow The The from the beginning ( burning blue soul) when I was studying in France and still listening your music
My VHS is well worn out now! I transferred it to my hard drive and then made my own DVD! It's a FANTASTIC piece of work to suit a FANTASTIC album! Thanks for making this!! Not so fun fact; when he put that gun into his mouth in Twilight of a Champion - there was a Live round in it!
I had this movie on videocassette. Amazing piece of art, as well as the album itself. Heard it for the first time by a girlfriend when I was on holliday in Budapest 1987, baught the video later on holliday in London at Fame. Still one of my favourite albums of all time.
When Infected played on 120 minutes I recorded the show on VHS. That night I was also introduced to Sinead O'Connor - with her video for 'Troy'. Incredible night of music videos!
Like many others here, my favorite album of all time. The soundtrack of my life, both in reality and vicariously, of my life in and around San Francisco in 1986
When all my favorite musicians...Matt...Andrew eldritch, roger water all have a problem with american foreign policy then there probably is a real problem with it...just saying

Versus the World tour? That was a memorable night at the Barrowlands.
Great album, great group. Great music, and very ahead of 1986, let me tell you.

Loved seeing you live in Santa Fe. The Cranberries were a lovely warm-up for your great performance
