    I love how the topology looked a little weird before you SDS and i was like "Dude, how's that gonna work?" and then SDS came into the game and it looks so beautiful.
    Also, i'm very thankful that you started to ALWAYS align your normal properly. Not that you didnt ignore it completely before, but now it seems like you pay extra attention to it. Thank you! It's always a joy to come here again and see what you've got for us. Im doing this for almost a decade now (well, c4d just for a year) but can always get some important details out of your content. Thanks alot!

      Thank you, it is good to hear these from an experienced artist.
      Actually after your comment I believe I started to pay more attention to normals, I think it was you, anyway thanks again and feedbacks will be appreciated anytime.

    Hey ! I wonder what subscription plan you would recommend for Cinema 4d? Do you also have an Adobe Subscription that includes Photoshop and/or Substance Painter? I understand you need to subscribe to the entire Adobe 3d suite even if you only need Painter right. Wonder what your pipeline is and what plans would you suggest!

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  11 місяців тому +1

      I have Maxon One but you can just have C4D and Octane or Redshift, which will be cheaper.
      I got Substance on Steam a few years ago, it was so cheap so still using it.
      I have adobe subscription only for Photoshop, these are my main subs right know.

      @@polygonpen Interesting, thanks alot. I understand that if you are also doing some post vfx and motion graphics After Effects is also kinda needed and it was always well integrated with C4D due to the strategic planing between Adobe and Maxon. I'm assuming that's also included in some expensive plan from Adobe.
      Regarding Substance, that's probably the old perpetual license version before Adobe take over. Too bad they don't offer the Painter alone for the subscription. It doesn't worth paying for all the Substance 3d suite. Do you think you'll be switching to subscription anytime soon?

    soft corners it's easy, but hard(sharp) corners on cylinder is problem. Cos you when you add edge on cylinder, it won't be perfectly round, cos support edge make it sharp

      In such cases I use weights/creases then subdivide them.

    That's too much work for something simple! Topology is crazy! This in cad programs or in zbrush can be done way more easily! And then retopology.

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  11 місяців тому +2

      That is a profession and it will be there for a long time so if you want to be better than others, you can not select an easy way.
      Your method can be okay for game models but it is not enough for production pipelines.
