Thanks Nic for making this brief introduction to your work - lots of colour and beauty - the place of ladders and mention of heaven suggests to me the opportunity to rise from wherever we may find ourselves whatever circumstance we find ourselves in . The example of the peaceful revolution - ‘Dharma Kranti ‘ of Dalits or ‘ former Untouchables who found themselves outside or ‘beneath ‘ the Hindu caste organisation and which was inaugurated by Dr B R Ambedkar in 1956 in Nagpur India . A movement both effective and also in it’s relative infancy . It’s little known world wide yet offers a blueprint for human dignity self and other respecting in other contexts . For example it’s principles and practices are being applied amongst and by the members of the maligned Roma people in Hungary bringing hope vision and uplift . Every Good Wish Sumana - London E2 8 NE
Maybe a "monument" piece for the police who have been shot, by all races, would be a welcome piece. And another piece for all the military who have given their lives for our freedom. And yet another piece for all the people, of all races, who have been shot in Chicago. No need to limit yourself. Beautiful works of art. Lots of imagination. I see a theme for a show, above. A chance to make a real statement. Maybe juxtaposed to images of mothers w/ babies, scenes of peace. WOW, what a contrast. .
You are free to make that art yourself. The problem is that to make good art, you have to truly believe in what you are doing. I wonder if you actually believe in the problems you are passively commenting about
