I’m old school Chinese living in America since I was 7 years old. Back then you couldn’t talk back to your parents no matter if they were wrong or not. I used to get into so much trouble bc I used to talk back all the time bc most times my dad was wrong and I couldn’t take it anymore. Not all only child is like this, but i could say around 90% are like this. If tge only child happen to be born in a family where the financial situation is really terrible(my friend happens to be the only child and his dad works as a taxi driver and his mum is a housewife) and the couples are smart enough to just give birth to a child.
