- A number of Chicago residents voiced objections to a proposal put forth by Mayor Brandon Johnson. It seeks to move migrants from a downtown shelter and place them in a temporary migrant shelter on the South Side.

Chicago Facing Measles Outbreak in Migrant Shelters

Measles had been virtually eliminated in the United States, but due to the sheer scale of illegal immigration from countries with little to no healthcare, the disease continues to be reintroduced by migrants settling in communities nationwide. Crowded sanctuary cities have proven particularly susceptible to serious diseases brought in by illegal aliens. Now, recent reports indicate that Chicago is in the midst of a measles outbreak in city shelters housing more than 10,400 migrants.
So far, the measles outbreak is mostly concentrated in migrant shelters in the city but may be spreading. In the first three months of 2024, Chicago has had 31 confirmed cases of measles, 21 of these cases in children under five years old. Even after the city administered 4,500 doses of the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccines to migrants following the first measles case in city shelters, the disease has persisted. Many migrant children staying in these shelters are enrolled in Chicago public schools and pose a risk of spreading the disease to American school-aged children. As of September 2023, more than 2,000 illegal aliens are enrolled in Chicago public schools, with between 40-50 enrolling in a single elementary school.

Since October 7, the Iranian regime has been issuing overt threats against the United States and our interests around the world. Those threats are being taken seriously by national security experts, including many who work for President Biden. They know that any attack on U.S. soil would likely be carried out by one of Iran’s many proxy terror groups around the world.
The United States has certainly been giving Iran ample opportunities to make good on their threats by leaving our borders wide open. More than 3 million of the 10 million who have been encountered entering the U.S. illegally over the past three years have been released into the country, many with only cursory background checks. Another 1.8 million people are known to have entered the country illegally but were never encountered and we have no way of knowing who they are, where they are, or why they’re here.
All of this adds up to a very dangerous situation with potentially catastrophic consequences - to which the Biden administration’s response is, ‘Let’s see what we can do to make it worse.’ Last Tuesday, reports began circulating that the Biden administration is considering allowing an unspecified number of Gaza residents to settle in the United States.
Why do we have to keep supporting them?!? They got enough support from us already. I work in a govt office and they’re getting easily 500 dollars in SNAP, 500 in TANF (money), medical insurance and free rent!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous! Enough is enough. If they can’t support themselves with all this free money, then they should be sent back.

Fentanyl is rapidly replacing heroin as the drug cartels are using to make money. Statistics on drug seizures from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) show that there has been a clear shift in the cartels’ smuggling habits, and the data strongly indicate that the border chaos of recent years is facilitating this lethal trade. Comparing statistics across the last three full fiscal years (FY) is as it informative as it is alarming.
Heroin seizures were high throughout FY 2021, closing the year on 5,400 lbs. seized. But by FY 2023 seizures had fallen to just 1,500 lbs. That is a 72 percent drop in just two fiscal years. By contrast, fentanyl seizures in FY 2021 were 11,200 lbs. and over 27,000 lbs. in FY 2023. This is an enormous 141 percent increase. The statistics show that the cartels are clearly changing their business model. Cartels see more money and growth opportunity in fentanyl, and are moving away from heroin and towards fentanyl.
Fentanyl is attractive to the cartels because of its massive money making potential. In terms of the profit margin, for just $50,000 in production costs, $20 million worth of fentanyl can be sold. This is a return of $400 for every $1 spent. For cartels, like any business, the profit margin of that magnitude is too high to ignore. Another feature that attracts the cartels is the sheer addictiveness. Fentanyl snares people into addiction more quickly and totally than even heroin, given that fentanyl is 100 times more potent than heroin. The more powerful the drug, the more powerful the addiction and with that, the more business for smugglers and dealers.
The final stage to replacing Chicago residents. Johnson is just a puppet, the Democratic Party is filled with geniuses.

I used to live in a black neighborhood in Charlotte N.C. I still live in the same neighborhood but now it is mostly Hispanic. This kind of thing has been happening in big cities in the South for decades but is only now being seen as a problem now that it is happening in the North. There are many black residents in need in Charlotte who are on long waiting lists for housing assistance because there are also many undocumented people that are also put on the same waiting list for housing assistance and it makes me sick! What is even worse is that it is mostly our locally elected black officials who are doing this to the very people who voted for them. Sad but true.

The main concern is that if a Republican candidate wins the position of mayor in this city, he or she will face an uphill battle to get the city back on track. Crime, homelessness, DEI and woke ideologies. You have to run the city with an iron fist to get rid of the undesirables.
