lemme explain the squirrel B plot the A plot is the whole "retrieve nugget" thing (and by the way, nugget is a girl) the B plot starts back at the first game after beating the first boss of the first game, there's a cutscene that shows a squirrel crying that same squirrel is the squirrel with the eyepatch, and he wants to take revenge on dr fetus for killing his family so he rounded up the manipulator and every other forest critter to help with his revenge
The squirrel in smbf has nothing to do with the squirrel in smb cuz the squirrel in smb died from sawblade, and later in the game you can see another squirrel die from nuclear bomb so yeah rest in peace ☠️☠️☠️

@I mean in the credits of the first game the forest cutscene shows a squirrel in a wheelchair so I guess it survived the nuclear holocaust
