grew up with these boys in pearland tx and they were so low key i happened to see them in the houston circuit but never knew that they were playin in my back yard
I wish there were so many more Judy's videos available. I used to go see them in Austin really young at Aqua fest and Liberty Lunch. I reviewed their show for my high school paper even (Lanier) the Judy's were one of the bands that were the sound track to my growing up. My 10 year old was amazed I knew all the lyrics and dancing around singing them doing dishes. I'm sure I have photos from the show o reviewed somewhere. I need to buy the CD's if they're still available and maybe I could throw something together with. iMovie.
Crash81!! I was a little punk rock gal too but everyone loved them in Austin. It was crazy when they came to town. Like the cowboys and punks and college kids were all there together. I love them. They need to get on Apple music. I don't even think I own a CD player anymore.
@@ric9759 I grew up in Houston and saw the Judys constantly back in the early 80's. Most of the hardcore punks back then liked the Judys, and they played at all the real punk clubs like the Island and Joe Star's Omni. The Judys were definitely NEW WAVE to the core, but most of us punks dug 'em. That may have changed later on when punk fizzled into hyperfast thrashcore, but from '80 to '83 the Judys were right at home in the punk scene. From what I gather they still do the one-off reunion gig in the Houston area. David Bean is now a high school teacher.
my father is from sherman, tx and raised me on this. i still listen to it in my senior year of hs, and all my music resembles it. they still make music like this, you just need to know where to find it :)
I used to cruise Wurzbach in San Antonio and Westheimer in Houston to these guys. GREAT music!

Loved The Judy’s all the way down in Beaumont. They deserved national recognition! Awesome memories!
I grew up in Port Neches and this album (on cassette) was played a lot.
