Releasd 3 years after my son passed away he was 15 months old. It tore my heart out when I first heard it & still does after all these years. Rod Stewart is a gem & everything he's sang is brilliant.
Just saw this and cried myself into hiccups.. The sentiments are so precious and Rod's rendition is the most powerful. Forever Young = you'll always be my precious child no matter what your age is. ❤❤❤❤
Yes it hits differently when you have kids. Heard this song so many times when I was young I looked it but never really understood it. Then I had babies and I cry when I hear it now.
I dedicated this to my son when he was a little boy (he's 38 now). He will forever be young. I'm so proud if what he's accomplished in his 38 years. Love you son.🥰
This was the song, from day one, that I said was to my daughter. She died in 2021 and to this day I get really emotional when I hear it. And she was 40 when she passed. All these years later it will always be my song for her.
Forever young means his son will always be his little boy in his heart and he will always have his back no matter where he goes. It’s a beautiful message.
Heard this a "million" times... Always sounds good. "Whatever road you choose - I'm right behind you win or lose". Living this now, as my kids are older, transitioning to be their "coach". Love them and know that they always have my support!
Even during his earlier rocker days, Rod was, and still is, a master song interpreter at heart. (Hence Nick's accurate remark that his vocals make the song better than it probably should be.) His phrasing and the wonderful sandpaper grit in his voice bring poignancy to whatever ballads he sings.
Rod Stewart holds the record for the largest crowd at a concert. 3.5 million people at a New Years concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was a free concert.
I cry everytime I hear this song, as my mom liked him and she said many of the lines in this song to me throughput my life. Now that she's gone I always think of her.😢
YESSIRS👍go Rod Stewart🙂.. SAILING, I DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT; HOT LEGS; YOU'RE THE STAR; SOME GUYS HAVE ALL THE LUCK; LOVE IS; THE FIRST CUT IS THE DEEPEST and more🤗
One of my fave's from Rod. Another great song from this same album is "Lost In You." You gotta go further back and check out "Tonight's the Night" or "The Killing of Georgie, Parts 1 and 2."
*Gentleman* so I'm commenting *BEFORE* watching your reaction, by design on this one.! My daughter is getting married in 3 weeks and I, as a former touring musician was asked to choose the song for the Father/Daughter dance.! As a musician I *agonized* thru so many in my mind.! Almost went with Daughters by John Mayer but the lyrics in this song by Rod was the clincher.! Been subscribed, love your format and variety of genre's & artists you react to but I saw this and had to share.! David .....
Boys - while you still have Rod’s album (Out of Order) in your minds, take 5 minutes and listen to one of his better rocker numbers (his forte) called Lethal Dose of Love - it is what that unique voice of his does best - rock out! No one does it better than Sir Rod! No one!!!
Looking for some loving, try to learn the words to his song; "Your in my heart". Rod has been around from the early days playing with the British Blues tour, sang with Howling Wolf and many bands wanted him. He has numerous hits to choose from, his "Unplugged" album might give you a good listen of his talent.
SIR Rod Stewart was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his contributions to the arts. That IS Rod’s son, Sean. Believe it or not, Rod has EIGHT kids and he’s a GRANDFATHER now. Icon!!
Must listen to: PETER FRAMPTON "DO YOU FEEL LIKE WE DO" LOVE & ALBERT COLLINS "TOO MANY DIRTY DISHES"... I am a 65 yr old hippie blues lover who KNOWS the BEST our generation had to offer!
Must listen: LED ZEPPELIN "DAZED AND CONFUSED" (Jimmy Page on guitar/one of top 3 of all time) & "BLACK DOG" also LED ZEP both from Celebration Day, their one time only reunion since 1980 when they lost their infamous drummer John Bonham. Perhaps the best rock band of all time!
Since you dig the '80s sound, may I suggest reacting to this classic by Squeeze, "Annie Get Your Gun". I guarantee all three of you will love it! (Studio version only, no live and no music video--just listen to it, yo.)
Bob Dylan released "forever young" in 1974 , in 1984 Alphaville released "forever young" an updated version, same chorus but different lyrics, , Rod Stewart did a much better version of Bob Dylan's in 1987, Jay-z then did a remix of Alphaville's version.
Gotta be honest... this isn't really my cup of tea. Way too cheesy. Sounds like it should've been on a movie soundtrack... hell it probably was. But I appreciate you guys doing all types of music. Now try the Stooges "I Wanna be your Dog"
Talk about missing the message....................................... Oblivious to the words...............I feel sorry for you.. If you have children... you have to put them FIRST.. WTF??????????????????

I think forever young means he'll always be his little boy wherever life takes him

Rod Stewart can sing anything. It’s like his voice is squeezed through a Brillo pad.

That would actually be metallica in russia. Largest crowd ever
ROD IS INCREDIBLE !!!
I cry everytime I hear this song, as my mom liked him and she said many of the lines in this song to me throughput my life. Now that she's gone I always think of her.😢

People Get Ready. Great song. His catalog is flipping amazing ❤️🤘
'Sir' Rod Stewart is still a brilliant singer!! Loved listening to Forever Young, fabulous!!!!!
This was my high school graduating class song, class of "80"
I think this is one of the most emotional songs that Bob Dylan ever wrote.....
You gotta try “Stay With Me” with Rod and the Faces. It totally RIPS.

hard to think the kid is in his early to mid thirties now
Dylan wrote this song for his kids and I actually like his version much better. Not over produced so one can pay more attention to the lyrics.
Have you done any Tragically Hip? Great Canadian band. "38 Years Old", " Little Bones" and "Grace Too" to start with.
White. Forever young💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤❤❤❤🎶🎤🎶🎤🇺🇸❤
White forever young💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤🎤🎶🎤🎶❤
It's not his son. He said he had to hold the little boy because he was afraid the child would fall out of the truck. The child would not be still.
I know this is an old vid and maybe it's been addressed but that's not his kid. He was a child actor named Alex Zuckerman.
No, it’s not his son. Just a kid they found to do the video.
PLAESE MAKING THESE VEDIO.FOR ALL 70 YEAR GENERATIONS
Can you please react to Robert Palmer song called Know by now
Please

Tally, meet Holly.

I think this is one of Stewart's most boring songs.
How do you type with no heart to pump blood??
@@Cosmo-Kramer Just fine thank you!
