@@juanmiguel1214 A powerful but heavier Diesel engine would just make the final drive situation worse, by then, you'll only be able to travel 75 km before needing a new final drive

The Soviets had tanks with diesel engines and transmissions designed to withstand less than they did in practice. At the time there were old Mercedes-Benz engines, Deutz, among others, which were far better than Soviet engines... But this is in my opinion, of course.
