Here in the states women don't have road blocks to work in what used to be considered "men's professions". I wish I was honest like him and said what I mean when I was younger. Usually you're too afraid to let anyone know your struggles.. trying to avoid embarrassment.. but literally everyone goes thru struggles. Nobody is perfect. I've learned now that a lot of people are going thru the same things I'm going through

Of course it did, Motty. All of the hard circumstances we confront in our lives 'scratch' our neshamot. And HaShem sees and hears us in our pain, but HaShem trades our pain for a more refined way of service. I had a very hard time growing up and spent a lot of my early life not understanding, but now I know that it is only when we pay close attention to HaShem and stay focused on our being of service that we find that there was purpose in our pain. You have the advantage of being groomed your whole life for what you are doing, whereas I have not. So I admonish you to recall that pain whenever you can, and then hold on tight to HaShem and DO NOT LET GO! You will find more and more that your mitzvot are refining you more as you grow.
