    The number one trait my alter ego will embody is mastery, I'm studying engineering but I also play football and I love music and at some point I couldn't find songs that represented what I was going through so I started making my own music. I came up with the name MAK and never before did I think it could be used as an alter ego. It stands for mastering all of Kings. So overall it would be me being confident in and unapologetic about everything I love and enjoy doing. I sometimes feel bad about being so good at so many things but I realise now that I'm only that good because I work towards being like that so yeah. I just need to develop a ritual for becoming MAK. Thank you for the amazing insights and awesome video

    Very sanitized information about alter ego. I really enjoyed it.
    What stick really is that you explained that the need to have alter-ego is based on some inconfidence you have - so this sounds like a coping mechanism.
    Ideally you should solve the problems you have "confidence" instead of curing the symptoms... Can you share some thoughts on this?

    • @SamMartinPeakPerformance
      @SamMartinPeakPerformance  Рік тому +1

      absolutely 👍 i really see the alter ego as a way to tap into the very best version of yourself. It only has benefit if you truly believe the traits of your alter ego are authentic to you. It allows you to detach from the things that make you more human/vulnerable and then purely focus on enhancing your best traits that contribute to high performance.

      Changing your beliefs takes time. And always fully believing you can enter this new character is tough. It's natural for your brain to be resistant at first. As said towards the end of the video you have to practice using/becoming your alter ego. Like anything else, it's a skill. Just be patient and if you still struggle you may need to change some of the traits to ones that feel more natural

    soft spoken and kind and comes off a bit shy. It’s interesting really

    I want to congratulate the Kobe Bryant of sex work, the inspirational rags to riches story - the hotel worker who made millions off having sex with Kobe one time. I am calling her the Kobe Bryant of sex work because if you can make millions off a single sexual encounter, that puts your hourly rate as a sex worker at probably higher than Kobe's average hourly rate as a basketball player.
    1. For those who are complaining about using the word sex worker to describe her - is sex worker a bad word now? I thought sex work was real work and those who don't respect sex workers are misogynists.
    2. This is also a factual description because getting paid for consensual sex (she admitted it was consensual and dropped the case) is literally the definition of working as a sex worker.
