Reminds me of the romantic church organ I grew up hearing. Except ours had an irregular trem that drove everyone nuts. And the organist insisted on using that trem to punish the preacher for not getting it fixed. Think: wah-wah--wahwah, wahwahwah-wah-wah-and so on. Everyone would cock their head when she pulled it. The organist also had an approximate minimum quota of one blue note per 10 measures. Minor horrors like that. But the preacher was happy that the music never overshadowed his disorganized message. ;) It's nice to hear a romantic organ played well. Not precisely thrilling, but nice.
Dear Paul thank you for a genuinely new & wonderful experience. I had never heard a Ladegast organ before today. Very beautiful. These demonstrations are a lot of work for you and are appreciated.
And again a super demo from our Paul. Love the organ too. Wonderful stops: Flauto Amabilé, Clarinette, Doppel Flöte and combination Viola d'amore + Vox Celestis. Compliments to Paul Fey and Friedrich Ladegast 😊
Vielen Dank, lieber Paul. Das hat mir sehr gur gefallen und super von Dir gespielt bzw. demonstriert. Ich bin wieder auf das nächste Mal gespannt und freue mich schon. Beste Grüße sendet Dir Steffen aus Görlitz.
Again a very nice presentation, now on a Ladegast organ, that makes you want to play even bigger instruments from Ladegast!!! There are some that are really famous. 👏👏👏
A pleasant, sweet and mild romantic organ sound, but has a rich and warm full ensemble blend. Thanks, Paul, for demonstrating these different organs. Our education in registration.
Bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Wernigerode gehe ich die Orgel besuchen, vielleicht bist du dann auch grade dort und spielst auf dem Instrument. Das würde mich sehr freuen. Ich bin begeistert Paul Fey. 😃
Haha, the best is obvious when it's the only sample set of a Ladegast organ. Would love to hear some repertoire on it, this organ really is made for composers like Hesse, Merkel, Ritter etc. Looking forward to that.
A very special organ, indeed! And of course you demonstrated it beautifully, as always. Is it just me, or is the tutti sound a bit more "stringy" than most organs? That was my first impression of the big one in Schwerin Dom. I'm a string player, rather than an organist, so maybe I find that very attractive. BRAVO, Dear Paul! 😁💯🐧
Yes, due to Ladegast's detailed knowledge and appreciation of Gottfried Silbermann organs, his instruments are an exception in the High Romanticism organ world, contrary to Walcker organs of that time. They have much more brighter mixtures and a more "stringy" sound, as you stated correctly
I‘m not too sure about that! I suspect that it‘s open/close only - I tried setting it up on my swell pedal but it didn’t work right away. We‘d have to ask @organartmedia I guess 😀
Eine Delikatesse ist diese Ladegast Orgel. 👍👍👍Super
Dankeschön 😀
Fabulous demonstration of a very special organ. Thank you Paul!
So wonderful. Didn’t I hear the song „Maria breit den Mantel aus“ at the beginning? It was my first thought however!
Yes, you did! 😀
Klasse, wie alle Ladegast Orgeln. 👌👍
Oooh ja 😀
A lovely hymn tune - play on young maestro.
Thank you so much, Michael 😊

Super 👍🏻
Herzlichen Dank! 😊
Super, lieber Paul. Große Klasse, wie immer. Danke. ♥️
Dankeschön 😊

Thanks, Paul, for this especially beautiful demo, which represents this instrument in his entity very well
Thank you so much!!
Die Orgel ist ein Traum, danke Paul 😀

You're so welcome Paul!😁👍🐧

Na mal sehen! 😀
This will be a thrill! Ladegast built the most beutiful romantic organ I've ever heard, or seen. [Schwerin] 🐧💯
These are wonderful instruments! Ladegast was based in Weißenfels not far from Leipzig so we‘ve got a lot of his smaller instruments in the area 😀
Haha, the best is obvious when it's the only sample set of a Ladegast organ. Would love to hear some repertoire on it, this organ really is made for composers like Hesse, Merkel, Ritter etc. Looking forward to that.
Well, that's true! 😀
Wonderful ❣❣❣
Sehr schöne Orgel. Ich kenne mehrere Ladegast Orgeln. 🙂👌👌👌
Das freut mich! Danke fürs Zuschauen 😀
Lovely and sweet 💖💖💖
Thank you!

So true! These Ladegast organs sound very stringy, especially in the Principals and the Pleno! That’s the organ sound I grew up with 😀
@@PaulFey Right! I love your area of Germany, and hope to get back again. 😁
Does this organ have an expressive division? One of the foot levers is marked "Schweller". Maybe it is two-position, either open or closed?
