- Immortals walk among us, and for centuries, members of a secret society known as The Watchers have recorded their mysterious war. David Quinlan is frustrated with the life of a Watcher, tired of recording events from a distance. But when he intervenes in a battle between Immortals, he triggers a chain of events that will change the course of his life.
A fan film, written and directed by Jeremy Orr. Fully authorized and approved by Davis/Panzer Productions, producers of the Highlander Film and Television series.

Good story. Its worth the watch, especially if you are a Highlander fan. I agree with others here, a network should pick this up.

Stumbled upon this little gem while searching for old Methos videos, and I have to say, this fanfilm is better than both Endgame and the Source! Fantastic job by everyone involved!

I normally avoid "fan films" but this was pretty doggone good. Gave me old school Highlander: The Series vibes and I dig it!
I've been wanting to make a "Dark Tower: The Gunslinger" film for a long time now and even though I know I can't beat the acting, cinematography, CGI, etc of the professional "Dark Tower" film, I still want to try. Anyway, this inspired me to move forward on giving it a go so thanks!
ETA: Sorry for the "fan film" thing because this was way more than that. I just don't know a better term for it.

Fan films today are miles ahead of what I first made back at the dawn of time. I had already seen some excellent Star Trek fan films and thought that such productions need an alternative name as so much more than a fan film. This is another such example.
Obviously made with such care by all involved. If I had read that this was a pilot for another spin off series, that had unfortunately not been picked up by whatever studio or network, I would have easily believed it.
The special effects of the Quickening was great! Not overdone, and very similar to the original.
All of the actors were of a similar standard, the cinematography was good throughout, and the music was apt even though varied.
I did catch the almost complete Queen lyric quoted at the picnic, a nice touch.

I didn't even know about this until I found it here on UA-cam. I'm a huge Highlander fan---I have a box set of the entire series. Going to have to do a rewatch soon. Great stuff!!! This captures that old time Highlander series feel. Impressive work!

Fun fact: if a person is a proto-Immortal (an Immortal who hasn't been activated by their first death yet and still ages normally) he should still have experienced a buzzing sensation around other Immortals, and they should have sensed him as well. In most of these cases the proto-Immortal is killed off by their mature counterpart without ever knowing why.
While true, it is also established that the proto Immies usually do not recognize the feeling (and some full Immortals do not, either). And of the 2 Immortals this proto was around, one addressed it directly, and the other indirectly, through dialog. This was all vetted by Davis/ Panzer before filming.
Absolutely hope this is the start of a new series!! Was very good!

Good movie, the ending caught me off guard. The bad, the cars used for the 1938 era looked exactly like 1980-1990's hot rods, especially the rims.

Fan made, for sure. Technically, it is canon - to a timeline they will not be making any more of. The story was fully approved by Davis/Panzer productions before filming began, and they promoted it as a part of the franchise when we were selling it on physical media (other fan productions were denied this, due to continuity issues).

It's so REFESHING to have another GOOD Highlander movie again! And the main villian was Fantastic.
The bad guy is very very good. Entertaining, and likable while still being very bad.
The quickenings are very good. Especially the second one.
I love that they showed the heads coming off!!
At least ten minutes could be cut out to quicken the pace. All those slow transitions need to go.

I thought this was very nice, I enjoyed the story line, especially the ending. Pulled me into the universe of Highlander for sure.
Missed this show for many years now nice to see it again, These and the star wars - star trek- stargate & Dr.Who make me think or at least entertain the idea that these could have some facts yet oh well - One can dream i guess
When you first watch this movie you will said its boring but when become to the end you will understand.
Wow! I went into this expecting an “ok” fan flick.. what a nice surprise! Compelling story and good acting.. most of the cgi was good, all in all, a great experience! Thanks for making this.. looking forward to any future endeavors..

These Watchers aren't carrying the identifying hand tattoo first displayed in Highlander: The Series. Apart from that this is a great indie.

This was a very good movie could have used a certain song in it or is that reserved for MacLeods only 😆

What a Great movie. Someone with some sense in Hollywood should chuck serious money at this and remake it frame by frame, word for word. Better than the tripe they are currently kicking out.

Nice plot lined but the acting needs work seemed forced not natural at all. Settings was good for your budget. The actor who played camble had some nice sword moves. Good music during a few fight scenes.

It's been a long time since I watched the highlander show. Wasn't there a group called the watchers on the show? I vaguely remember an older man watching Duncan and was sorta his friend
The Watchers are vaguely like the Talamasca from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles - a secret society that monitors immortals from a safe distance and documents their history but otherwise doesn't attract their attention or interact with them. The Highlander television series introduced a renegade branch of the organisation that viewed Immortals as a potential threat to humanity and quietly assassinated them. Later movies had the Watchers offering sanctuary to Immortals who wished to avoid the Game, keeping them in a drug-induced coma on holy ground in a secret location.

This was well done. I'd love to see more. The only thing I'm confused on or missed is how did he get rid of the tattoo.
My thinking was that, if the site of the tattoo was cut away, the flesh would grow back, but the ink would not.
@@storymarkor just regular surgery. Same effect. Which is why Immortals never took up plastic surgery to change their appearances in the Twentieth Century when they periodically changed identities - it wouldn't work.

Weak introduction but it picks up and it ends well.
Great but my question is how did the immortals get there powers.out of all the highlander movies they never explained where it came from.
The second Highlander movie aired the theory that they're alien criminals sentenced to play the Game throughout human history as punishment for rebelling against their planet's government, but this theory is despised by the series fan base. The explanation accepted in the first movie is that the Immortals are simply a natural phenomenon and that they developed an oral folklore around their ritual combats over time as mentors trained new members and encouraged them to participate. Many Immortals actually just get on with their lives and defend themselves when attacked by full-time headhunters like the Kurgan. The Watchers and most Immortals generally class headhunters as "evil" due to their violent natures, and a potential threat to humanity if they obtain the Prize.

The producers should be more careful..in 1938 cars didnt have those kind of tires...not even the orange one, the girl with that eyeliner...ridiculus..at least try to do some reasurche about the way of living and cars ,costume,, etc. In 1938😮
