Low budget Chinese movie still way better than our US high budget movies. Not a lot of action but solid historical flavor, simple fun, and a decent story. It made for a perfect movie before bedtime.

Someone spoil the ending for me, I only watched the half of the movie, bc the bride to be is so dumb, those men died bc of her, like she's freaking aware that her bf will revenge for her (bc he thought she died) & she went with him by hiding in the boat to hunt those mermaids, then revealing herself that she's alive?? while their friends were drowning in the water?? Tf😭😭
