      (3:16) If you want a pretty good example of R&B/HipHop with a 90's feel, there's OC Dawgs' "Pauwi Nako" also on the Wish Bus (Philippines).
      (ua-cam.com/video/k-C8a-mnbJU/v-deo.html)
      It's in Tagalog, but it has English subtitles.
      Also, unlike English which uses words (adjectives) to modify other words (nouns), Tagalog is a highly syllabic language, where changing or inserting a syllable can change the meaning of a word:
      Panalo - Win/victory, it's also slang for something of excellent or superior quality
      Mananalo - Future tense of 'to win'
      Pamalo - Something used to hit/strike/spank
      Talo - Loser/to lose
      Because of this, Filipino rap tends to be faster than Western rap. The second verse in 'Panalo' is more typical of the speed of the majority of Filipino rap.
      You can also hear this in EZ Mil's 24 Bullets. The bars in Tagalog are a little bit quicker than the ones in English because he's squeezing more syllables in. To a Filipino listener, both cadences are 'normal', while an English-only speaker will definitely notice the difference.
      Also, when he switches from Tagalog to Ilokano (6:10) ("Ilokano, Ilokano!"), the flow and cadence changes by necessity, because while Ilokano also has a syllabic structure, it's cadence is completely different from Tagalog, at least from a Tagalog speaker's POV. (I don't know how to speak Ilokano.)
      BTW, Tom 'Facts' MacDonald straight fire and your reactions on him on point.

    You picked up on it bro. The song is basically an anthem for Filipino pride. He was born and raised in the Philippines (Filipino father, white mother, both musicians), but obviously takes great objection to being considered "Tisoy" which is light skinned... essentially his beef is people suggesting he's Filipino "but..." (like there's an asterisk, suggesting he's Filipino, but not REALLY Filipino). So his contention with that lead to this song where the intro (and Chorus) is essentially telling Filipinos all over the world that it doesn't matter what colour your skin is, we are ALL Filipino, and that will lead to our victory (Panalo literally means WIN). The chorus crying for Filipinos to unite is set to the tune of traditional Filipino Folk music, and then in the verses he drops BARS in English, Tagalog and Ilocano (a remote Filipino dialect). The climax is when he yells like a WAR CRY "I'm not Tisoy (mixed blood)... I'm PINOY!" Chills bro. I've watched a lot of reaction videos, and there are many by Filipino listeners who are bursting into tears by that point in the song. His emotion, and the emotion it's inciting in viewers, is amazing.
    This is the real deal and the millions of views a day show this track is going viral globally. Filipinos of all age are reacting to it, and those videos are going viral. This is going to be a track that's played at Filipino family barbecues all over the world for years to come. Also, Filipino fighters are going to walk out to this song for decades. This kid is an enormous talent, and he's going to be a star, no doubt! Great reactions to all his stuff by the way... still got chills from you calling his Boom Bap sequence.

    There is a filipino rapper who could also twist ur head upside down when u listen to some of his songs he is Abra used to rap in pure filipino though his rap sounded like subtle compared to Ez Mil a phenomenal vigorous rapper in itself.. Ez Mil raps in filipino, english, 2 dialects ilokano and bisaya all at d same time. The first line “Mga kababayan ko” meaning my countrymen, “Negatibo” means negativity, “mundo”means earth, “panalo” means victorious, winning, triumph, success. He was down when people said “ang puti puti mo” meaning ur skin is white he answered back “ i am not tisoy, ako ay PINOY”meaning i am not mestizo (Phill Am) i am a filipino. He is patriotic proud to be a Filipino. He gives me goosebumps down to my spine upon emphasizing “walang tatalo sa bagsik ng ating dugo” means fearless, valiant like our heroes. There was a display of courage and bravery of filipinos in Panalo!!! mabuhay 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭💖💖💖💖💖

    Peace, Kumusta po Kuya (Big Brother) B.,
    As a proud PINAY (Pilipina Warrior),
    EZ is a fiercely unapologetic Pilipino.
    This is OUR ANTHEM & he makes us proud!( Kilabot!)👊🏽✊🏿
    A few gems:
    1) Panalo means VICTORY in Tagalog.
    2) Carinosa is a famous traditional Filipino folk song.
    3) EZ is spitting in 4 languages:
    English, Tagalog, Ilocano and Visayan (We have over 187 languages in our country)
    4) When he says, 'I been to Spain but the S is Silent...' refers to his own pain AND the pain of our people enduring over 300 years of colonization from Spain, alone...
    5) Three stars to the sun refers to the 3 stars and sun on our flag.
    They symbolize the 3 main regions: Mindanao, Visayan & Luzon.
    6) Colorism exists amongst our kababayans like other community of color.Tisoy, Mestizo, Halo- Halo (Mix Mix) or Putit (White) are derogatory names our own say those to of us who a of lighter hue or appear to be of 'mixed' or multi-racial descent.
    EZ is proclaiming, 'I aint Tisoy! I'M PINOY!'
    Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
    👊🏽✊🏿✌🏾 🇵🇭

    Yes, Filipinos use Spanish words often and in daily life. We use Spanish numbers like in currency. "Bente" in percentages "sinkwenta porsyento", when dining "kubyertos, kutsara, tinidor etc.. we have a province speaking a Spanish creole - Almost Spanish. Language is called Chavacano.

    1:14 that beat is a combination of Cariñosa, a folk dances of Philippine colonial era mixed with Trap beats...
    1:35 1:49 Philippines was colonized by Spain for more than 300 years and Filipinos used some loan words from Spanish and corporate it to the Philippine island's own languages, "Negatibo" for example comes from the spanish word Negativo which means negative and "Mundo" comes from the word Mondo which means World...
    3:13 There are many filipino rappers in the Philippines far more famous than Ez Mil, and Hip hop community in the Philippines is the biggest community of all the Asian countries, as soon as Hip hop became known in America, Philippines took an interest to it, what Ez means "first filipino rapper on the news" means filpino rapper that have a biggest chance to be marketable and be heard to America and worldwide, one of the reason is he is fluent on english and he can speak more than 1 language...
    4:07 22 double O, or 2200 is the area code of his hood Olongapo City in the Philippines...
    5:38 From English he switches to Tagalog, a language used in the Philippines where most of it's words are use in Filipino language, a modern day official language in the Philippines with words mostly came from Tagalog, and other languages in the Philippines...
    5:49 You will hear at the background that someone says "Ilokano, mag Ilokano ka 'tol, Ilokano", which mean "speak in ilocano language bro", Ilokano is another language in the Philippines, 1 of the 3 most used Languages in the Philippines, but for real Philippines have more than 100 languages, and Philippines also have dialects,
    That Ilokano part is where you feel his aggressive cadence...
    7:03 He said that ever since he was a kid, he was kinda discriminated in his home country, some kids telling him that you don't belong here tisoy,
    Tisoy means white kid, it's like outcasting him to play with them and mocking him by speaking english to him with a tone that likes toying him,
    But now he want to say that he is not tisoy, he is Pinoy, Pinoy is a slang word for Filipino people...

    ]
    Panalo
    - [Win
    ]
    [Verse 1]
    Yeah
    Keep runnin' ya mouth when you lyin
    I stay on my business while watchin you dyin
    I'm takin' my people to heights while you cryin
    Bout regular livin' and that's what I'm tryna
    Prove, 'stead of just lyin' in booths
    1st true Filipino rapper on the news
    Sit, enjoy it if ya cool
    Haters can snooze
    While I put my city on the map
    22-double the O-longapo City no cap
    Never forgettin' the street where my
    Cousin would sit when we always just listen to rap
    Kendrick, Em, and A$AP with some metal
    And man we would turn up with that
    Been mundane till the sun came
    Now I want fame like a kid in the trap, uh
    Aye, I been in Spain
    Spain
    But the letter 'S' is silent
    Pain
    I'm claimin' my reign like a king
    So I can water crops for survivin'
    Rain rain
    Go away if you trippin'
    Yuh
    Had a homie he was Cripn'
    Cuh
    Ain't got no love for the people
    Who talk over songs when they
    Claimin' they listen
    Listen listen
    These bars - never done, uh
    3 stars and a sun, aye
    Blue, red draped down on a flag
    No we never fear none
    Most of us didn't grow up with a trust fund
    Know that I'm willin' to kill for a loved one
    I'm on the move from a nothin' to someone
    Reminding my people to shout
    ******Repeat Chorus: (with English Translation)******
    Aye
    Huh, aye
    Kung inakala mong isang lenggwahe
    - [If you thought there's only one language
    ]
    Lang kayang gamitin ni Ez Mil
    - [that Ez Mil can spit
    ]
    La kang mapapala kung ganyan ka
    - [You wont go far if you think like that]
    Magisip kay Bathala ka sisingil
    - [Settle it with Bathala **Bathala is a Tagalog indigenous supreme diety**
    ]
    Utang na galing sa loob na
    - [Debt from within
    ]
    Lumutang, hinain sa turon na may
    - [Surfacing, served on a turon with **turon is a sugar covered banana springroll desert**
    ]
    Pusang sinaing sa
    - [With some steamed cat-]
    Mag ilokano ka tol!
    - [(Use ilokano bro!)]
    Ano
    - [What?]
    Ilokano! Ilokano!
    - [(Ilokano!, Ilokano)]
    Okay
    **He switches to Ilokano, one of the main languages of Northern Philippines**
    Uray no nga imbagak kinyayo - [EVEN THOUGH I TOLD
    ]
    'Ti ukkinayo
    - [YOU MOTHERF@$#@
    ]
    Dittoy ak laeng ag-ururay no sinno
    - [I'M JUST HERE WAITING FOR WHOEVER
    ]
    Ti agdayo
    - [WANTS TO COME FOR ME
    ]
    Tapno eh sang sangitam ak inte wagas
    - [WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BITCH AND CRY
    ]
    Mo nga payo
    - [TRYIN TO GIVE ME "ADVICE"]
    Ngata kay-kayatem nga patayeng ka
    - [DO YOU WANNA GET MURDERED
    ]
    Ken atoy bayo
    - [IN THIS TOWN
    ]
    As to what the part before this segment mentioned, these lines are not in the standard nationwide language that is Tagalog/Filipino.
    It is in Ilokano or Iloko, which is an Austronesian language spoken in the Philippines. It is the third most-spoken native language in the country, though some ****** in the government still claim it to be just a Dialect.
    Sikayo nga am-amin
    - [All of you]
    Lahat kayo
    - [All of you]
    All of you
    Ever since bata ako I've been kinda
    - [Ever since I was a kid I've been kinda
    ]
    Discriminated in my own home country
    Sure, some would be like
    Luh amputi-puti mo... tisoy
    - ["You're so white. Tisoy!"
    **Mestizo/Tisoy, are people of mixed native Filipino and any foreign ancestry. The word mestizo itself is of Spanish origin; it was first used in the Americas to describe only people of mixed Native American and European ancestry.**
    I ain't tisoy
    I'm Pinoy
    And I swear that
    Nobody will ever look at me the
    Same way again
    I'll make it to the top while I be showin
    Nay-sayers and
    Nanalo na ako nung mula pa na
    - [I'VE BEEN WINNING SINCE
    ]
    Pinugutan si Lapu sa Mactan
    - [LAPU-LAPU WAS BEHEADED IN MACTAN (it is a mistake in lyrics)]
    **
    Lapu-Lapu was the chieftain of Mactan Island when Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan and his Spanish companions arrived in Cebu in 1521.
    He beheaded Magellan in what is now known as the Battle of Mactan on April 27, 1521, and was regarded as the first Filipino hero because he was the first native to resist imperial Spanish colonization.
    **
    At lahat ang nasaktan na
    - [AND ALL WERE SLIGHTED
    ]
    Nalaman nila na pinatay
    - [WHEN THEY FOUND OUT THAT A FOREIGNER KILLED
    ]
    Ang kanilang bayani
    - [THEIR HERO
    ]
    Sa karagatan ng bansa
    - [ON A SHORE
    ]
    Na pag-aari
    - [OWNED
    ]
    Ng Pilipino
    - [BY A FILIPINO
    ]
    Despite any termoil
    I'll be proud of my soil
    Bakit
    - [WHY?
    ]
    Kase
    - [BECAUSE]
    ******Repeat Chorus: (with English Translation)******
