- STARMAKER performed by the cast of the TV series FAME. Recorded live from the third row May 5 during the FAME UK Reunion 2019 concert at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
STARMAKER comes from Season One and is the second UK top 10 hit from the #1 album KIDS FROM FAME, released in 1982.
“The Kids From Fame” toured the UK in 1982-83 in support of the album and series and was met with much fanfare. This is the first time the cast has performed in the UK in 35 years.

i was in the movie.........character got thrown out of school, after reading the girls part....... Romeo and Juliet.....i've aged dearly....yet the memory of Alan Parker and everyone on this project.....forever lives in me, to have the courage to change the things i can.......40+ years later.....wow......

made me cry back then, made me cry now. the episode with Mr Crandall , then seeing him, and Leroy on the screen behind and the other departed members. happy and sad memories of a great tv show. Fame Forever !

the show that inspired "Glee" - and was 100 times better. I believe this show was syndicated on Saturday evenings on WPIX Channel 11 from 1983-1987, that's when I got into the show, being 7-8-9-10 years old not really interested in theater but deeply intoxicated by this show. A network should really air this show again. Haven't seen it on TV in years. Wowww
The thing is that this song and the kids of Fame, just like the theme song says, will live forever, we will remember their names, their characters, their stories, the beautiful people they are outside the show ... My childhood was undoubtedly better thanks to them, I have seen all the reruns available and if the series starts again tomorrow, from episode one (Metamorphosis!) I would not miss an episode. You guys did the best series ever on TV. With talent (and with sweat, of course). I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love you just so much.
It's now on Now 80s channel sundays and Thursdays
I'll certainly remember this performance not for the right reasons!! They should take a look at the American performance. Is second to none..

I remember this the first time round, in the early 80s, as a freelance musician i ended up somewhere in the backing for the UK shows. But I only just saw this video, I was actually in the UK the week this show took place, but somehow did not know about it!
I saw Richard Hawley that week and flew back to the US hours later.

Tv shows from walker Texas ranger to pretty little liars...Movies from the surf movie North Shore to Blues brothers 2000... she had her own shows the party machine and Top of the pops to MTV street party. She’s still gorgeous...and a great team player.

Some things should not be done.This looks sad,All those have beens or even wannabe's on one stage.Hardly anyone was heard of after this show got cancelled
Not everyone wants to stay in the public eye. I follow Lee on Insta and he's been working steadily for decades since Fame. I don't think he ever really wanted to be an actor. Michael DeLorenzo starred in NY Undercover in the 90's and is a working actor and musician. Nia Peeples has been steadily working since Fame. Paul McCrane (Montgomery) has been a working actor since Fame. Erica Gimple has been a steadily working actor since Fame.
You're right, some things should not be done.

Sadly they're many people with your Mindset. Instead of going down memory lane and paying tribute to those from fame who's no longer with us. you will call talented people wannabes and other names. You do know they were kids when fame came out. You do know it was almost 40 years ago . Because they're not on the big screen now could be because they all have Aged and started families. When you go to your high school reunion? I truly hope everyone looks at you and then say to others. What's that has been doing here?? Then maybe you will learn something. Or maybe not.....
Joan, not everyone stays 18. Series end. Just because you didn't follow their careers no need to be nasty..most carried on acting and others went into music or directing or teaching...
