Wow. You actually have one in your hands (not another spec review video) and you actually went outside and demonstrated what the performance is like outside, AT NIGHT. Something channels much larger than your own haven't done thus far. Well done.
Thanks for answering questions that other people and i had on the case and the leveling issue with the supplied tripod, looks like one added benifit is the AI noise reduction. That dumbbell image is great for only 5 min. I'm looking forward to getting one, because.....we allways need another scope! Right? 😅 Thanks for the update! Hunter
great video. thanks. one question : for M31 i dont understand as when you set the settings you did not entered any mosaic mode for M31. only rotation. but during the process (when the image appears) it seems that mosaic mode was activated and also in your speech you talked about mosaic mode. can you explain please ?
Could you make the raw files available? I wonder how big the small objects look on a 4K monitor. It would be even better if I could see images taken with the same S50 next to it. I can't decide which one to buy. Thank you!
Hi Hunter. Great vid on the s30, answered many questions. Hopefully the ai integration will be a future update for the s50. Finally got the update firmware for mosaic on my s50. Now if just the skies would clear!
Comets yes asteroids a little more difficult since they are much smaller. Even with larger telescopes asteroids are difficult without them looking just like dots
So I have a question?. I have a s50 on my local network (station mode) if I connect the s30 to the same network (also in station mode) how dose that work with the app can I swap between the two with the one device (phone/tablet), or do I need to use 2 different devices one for the s30 and one for the s50. Or because one is connected to the same network, the other is not seen ie if the s30 is connected to 1st the s50 wont be seen or vice versa, so will one need to be run via it's own generated network wifi and the other in station mode (or it's own wifi) so will I need to have 2 phones/tablets?. sorry I hope that makes sense
I already have mine on pre-order. Heck, most astrophotography cameras cost a lot more than that! BTW, I think it is important to mention the Bottle class of your skies. It makes a big difference. So what are yours?
Okay, gatekeeper. Expensive? It costs less than 10% of some lenses for my Leica. Toy? People seem quite capable of producing impressive images with it. But hey, if it makes you angry for some reason, whatever.

Great video and can’t wait to get my hands on this - January in the UK I’m told.

Great video, Hunter!
Merci pour la vidéo. Les images de nébuleuses et de la lune sont superbes. On a hâte de le recevoir maintenant :)

Pour information le prix du S30 en France varie de 470 à 490€. Contre 606 à 690€ pour le S50.
Did ZWO gift you the S30 for your review?
Amateur question here, but would this be a good scope to track comets when they swing by or track the bigger asteroids (Ceres, 4Vesta, etc)

myself i live in a B4 but i have tested this at my inlaws which is a B7. still performed well
About AI, I beg to differ, it uses an image database so the image is changed someways from the real shot.
what ?
It's an expensive toy.
