This convinced me not to use a DSLR for my live stream, I didn't know the video would lag behind the audio. Thanks for the info, even if that was not the intention, still really helpful.
Then you need to pay more attention when you watch videos. He said the audio will STAY in sync if you use a capture card, funny thing is the guy in the video recommends using Elgato which is around $120, this is a rip off, you can buy much cheaper capture cards worth as little as $15 (yes $15) and they work just as well.
If you use obs you can intentionally set a delay to your audio to compensate for this.

Thanks for this wonderful video. This is just an encouragement to anyone watching: If you already have a RODE or lavalier mic, your audio won't be as off as it would with the recommended options listed here.
Do you plug it into the camera and the camera still sends it to the computer with the visual?

Thanks for the great video. I have been using the Gato Cam Link with my Nikon Z6: works well. Snapbridge software works well to adjust exposure/white balance, and especially to adjust focus when you are sitting back holding phone, not leaning forward to adjust camera.
I am using the 24-70 f/4 lens. It might be nice to have something a little wider (desk is against a wall so I can't move camera back).

You can buy a dc dummy battery and plug it into the wall

@@kaeez i tried that, it didn't work, shows black screen, also pirated apps are annoying, they don't work as well, and they can't be updated, its better to have the full bought version, so you don't face any problems in the future, yes its a lot of money for a simple app but, its the best choice available

I find it frustrating how everyone just accepts zoom as the go to calling app. Somehow all the media and tech people love using the Chinese app... its almost like they want their data to be stolen by 🇨🇳.

when you record on cam link 4k, can you use a separate audio mixer and not have a time delay? Or does it have to be the camera audio? Not sure how to do this connect...

So do I still need to get the USB capture device ? Or will my audio interface works best for me as an alternative?

the USB VIDEO capture device works as an interface for your VIDEO, so it's not at all related to your audio. You can use a USB Video capture card for capturing video while simultaneously using your audio interface for capturing your sound.
I mean,i've never owned a usb vid capture device, but at least thats what i know about it after reading, watching and researching abt it for a while

Great image + great sound doesn't help when they're not in sync. I look good and sound good, and people on call are saying, "Something's wrong with your set-up. There's a big lag."

This is cool. Hope my Nikon D90 works this way. Here is a thought about green screen. If I set my depth of field correctly I could blurr the green screen and it would be a much more consistent (field of green) background so lighting it would be less touchy. Thoughts?

thank you so much for this!! it worked perfectly with my Canon Rebel T5i. i have serious pain in my cervical, and my Macbook (with its cam) is not set in front of me, it's on the side. i have a large screen in front of me, no camera on it. i'm trying to use the Canon as a webcam and start facing forward during meetings.

Engadget, you do know that the Yeti Blue is a side-address microphone, and not an end-address, don't you? It is also more effective if you raise it to the level of your face and speak across it, unless you plan to speak facing downward towards the Yeti the entire time.
I enjoyed this video - Thank you. I await a Sony a6400 camera and Sigma 16mm 1.4 lens. I already have the Elgato Cam link 4k and HDMI lead on standby. I'm not sure yet if I have enough bandwidth for 4K live-streaming but 1080P with Sony's super sharp autofocus and the blurry background with the lens, it should produce a great image on Zoom, Skype, FaceTime etc.
Excellent Smartphone + IVCam App + USB cord to PC = Efficient Webcam that rivals DSLR, Mirrorless, and Logitech. Easy to use, adjustable ISO and Shutter, affordable, and great quality.

Usb capture cards are £10 or less and they work very well
Agree. The Elgato costs RM600 while the normal capture cards are around RM40 for 1080p 60fps

Don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but I had canon 70d and 80d streaming with a black magic switcher and the camera sensors became too hot after 25 to 40 minutes causing the camera to shut down. Quite aggravating. So I have started using old iPhones (iPhone 6) with an app that cleans the HDMI output. Also need the lightening to HDMI adapter. No problems with that. Still use the black magic switcher.

I'm using the rebel t2i. Had to download the t3 version to get it to work. For the cannon webcam utility.

Using the Canon RP and canon's webcam kit on my mac pro but the audio has a bad delay. Any ideas on how to sync the audio for Zoom or Google Meet? I tried OBS but couldn't get it working. Thanks!
He talked about the issue briefly because you can't use the camera's mic, so try a capture card if you can.

Thanks for the great video. But I can't connect my EOS R to computer. When I plug in USB from camera to computer there is a normal sound as if the device was found But the video from the camera does not come to the computer previously EOS R6 was working fine. I don't know what to do

I love this video, and thanks a lot for doing it ! But please, do not use your blue yeti like that. It's not supposed to be aimed at you like a missile. You want the "Blue" logo facing towards you and set to cardioid, if_as it appears here_you're recording voice over, or are just using it for yourself. There are indeed more than one set-ups on this mic, I can promise you that none are suited for this position.

We have a Nikon D5600 and we use BMD web presenter but the camera goes off every 10 mins and it comes up on the display as well with a countdown. Please how do I prevent this or make it run for longer?

Question. I have the 5D Mark IV I got it working with Zoom finally (with the webcam utility) but my problem is, the auto focus won't work. I am using the camera to broadcast my daughter's 1st bday to our family back east. So I'll be moving it around and wont be stationary. (I have various lenses but will using the 24-105) So I'll be moving, zooming but when it Zoom, it won't focus unless I do it manually. Thoughts? I've tried all the AI focus settings but in zoom, it doesn't focus. It works fine and auto focuses when I am not using it in Zoom (it even works in the canon remote utility) So I am guessing it could be something Zoom is doing or doesn't allow the camera to have all it's functions? Just found the issue (trick?)
I was letting Zoom put the camera into live Mode/Movie mode (hearing the mirror click into the up position) without turning the selector switch on the camera. That's why the auto focus wasn't working !!! All you have to do is just turn the live mode/movie mode selector switch on camera either before you start a meeting or even after starting the meeting. So Zoom can still active the live mode/movie mode on the camera, but to get auto focus you have to turn the selector switch on the camera to live mode/movie mode. Then you also see the output on the back camera display and auto focus works !! Hope I explained that clearly. :)

Simply select that audio device in audio settings of Zoom/Teams. It's not dependent on camera

@@kingtejas_ It is hard to answer and depends on camera drivers and how it interacts with the computer via USB.
I have personally never tried the setup you mentioned. Otherwise you can plug the mic on 3.5mm jack of computer itself.

Hello, I tried so many time with Canon webcam utility ... its not working. Its like nothing is connected. Same with facebook live, but with facebook I see the option to chose the Canon but I only see black screen with canon webcam utility logo . What can I do ?

There's a $30 cam link on Amazon now. Its not elgato but it works good.
